Hey there Paper Peeps! Ginny here to share a project I created that is chock full of shabby chic and country charm. These tiny purses were really fun to make and would be an awesome project to work on with the kiddos. I started with itty bitty pre-made canvas totes and added layers of pretty Petaloo flowers, ribbons and trims and buttons.
I think these little bags are too precious. Couldn't you just imagine presenting someone with a gift card tucked inside? Or hanging them on little hooks to be displayed as shabby country décor?
This bag is my favorite of the two. I layered on some extra wide printed canvas and chevron ribbons with crisp white lace and chose the flowers and berry picks to match. An additional layer of lace at the top has some perfectly coordinated buttons.
The combination of the rough fabrics, the burlap flowers and shiny picks and so much texture.
This little bag was just a bit bigger so I chose bigger blooms to create a nice border at the top. A double band of lace at the bottom is covered with a coordinating striped canvas ribbon and buttons.
These velvety blooms remind me of millenary flowers. I added some darker purple wrinkle ribbon and twine to anchor the lighter colors.
