 Let's get the fun started with a CHRISTMAS WALL HANGING from Petaloo DT member ... Irene Tan

 

Hello Petaloo fans! It's Irene here and time for me to share a project for this Petaloo and Canvas Corp hop! For this hop, I've altered a canvas stocking by Canvas Corp using tons of DIY flowers by Petaloo.

I've misted some of the flowers with paints to add some hint of reds on them.

These DIY/canvas blossoms are perfect for this canvas stocking. I've also used a couple of masks and some paints to add details and colors to it.

This stocking will be a perfect decor around the house during this Christmas or it can be a gift for someone special. Hope you all like it!

We would like to welcome Shellye Mc Daniel ...our Guest Designer for February ...  to the Petaloo Blog today!  

 

Thank you for joining us and celebrating Valentines Day with us ...

 

 

I created four coupon/gift card pockets from standard coin envelopes and decorated them with a collection of Vintage Valentine Dazzlers, florals and a mix of buttons and other Petaloo pieces.  

 

 

 

To start, I clipped the closure flap from the envelope (but it can be left in place). 

 

Next, I chose four different embossing folders and embossed each envelope in a pretty pattern.  One each of the four designs from the "Be Mine" Vintage Dazzlers were used in decorating the fronts of the envelopes and then embellished with different blooms & berries  from the Botanica & Chantilly Collections.

 

 

 

In finishing, two small holes were punched into the top of each envelope and then strung with a piece of wire for hanging.  A vintage style metal tag was added and personalized with recipients' names.

 

 

 

 

The Velvet Hydrangeas are also a wonderful flower to mix with the Vintage Valentine Dazzlers! (plus, they come with velvet leaves too!) 

 

 

 

 

You can fill these envelopes with candy or a gift card or use them as decorations.   But most importantly ... they are a sweet way to remember someone special on Valentines Day...

Valentine's Vintage Cherubs card By Bibiana

Hello dear Petaloo friends:

Here Bibiana....

I made this Vintage Valentine card using the NEW products from Petaloo...

On the center of the card I placed an adorable "Vintage Dazzlers" gift tag  and some of the NEW beautiful flowers By Petaloo...

These are the supplies that I used...
The small hydrangeas come in velvet and the blooms are made in stained rice paper...

so much texture, dimension and color...

On the inside of the card I used another "Vintage Dazzlers" gift tag 

paired with a small velvety hydrangea in red.

note: I made an cut on the side of the card to insert the ribbon... and this is how I decorated the inside
