Back to School Journal with Shona

 

Hello Petaloo Fans. Shona here today with a fun Back To School project. I altered a journal and added lots of pretty Petaloo blooms to create it!  

 

 

I had so much fun creating my own bloom colors with some Shimmerz mists. Just add the mist to your flowers (ivory or white ones) and create the perfect color for your project! I colored the Mini Daisies, Daisy Layers and DIY Burlap Blossoms.

 

 

I tucked in a few Dogwoods and DIY Burlap Blossoms to finish it all off.

Kids Summer Fun Cards with Shona

 

Hello Petaloo Fans. Shona here today, and I am continuing with this months Kids Summer Projects. These cards are super quick and easy for kids to help with!

 

 

I created my cards on some watercolor paper, as I was adding lots of colourful mists! Lay a piece of leaf chipboard on the cards and I used two bright colourful Shimmerz mists. The chipboard acts as a stencil and leaves a nice white stencil behind the mists.

 

 

Next up I added some stamping, twine and gorgeous Petaloo blooms to finish it all off.

 

 

One more close-ups and I have a full list of the gorgeous DIY and Darjeelings used at the bottom.

Summer Fun Project with Shona

 

Hello Petaloo Fans. Well Summer is here finally and it is camping season. This year I have the joy of having my daughter and grandsons to camp with…and my posts this month are fun things that maybe you can do with the kids. This piece is made with some sticks or driftwood and prettied up with Petaloo!

 

 

Step 1: I got two sticks or small driftwood pieces and wrapped twine around them to secure them together.

 

 

Step 2: Apply some gesso with your finger to give the driftwood a shabby look.

 

 

Step 3: I glued on some gauze and sprayed it all with a soft brown Shimmerz mist.

 

 

Step 4: Time to pretty this piece of wood up with some yummy Petaloo products!

 

 

 Step 5: I tucked in a few seashells and added some Sand Beads and Mica chips to finish it all off.

I just adore this mix of a Burlap Pick, Mixed Textured Blossoms and Mini Darjeelings.

Hello Petaloo Fans. Today I have a gift bag and little tag to share. I have used flowers from the Do It Yourself Textured Burlap and Canvas collection. These flowers are so much fun to alter and add to your projects!

 

 

I used some Shimmerz mists to alter the DIY flowers on this project…it is to easy, just mist to the color your choice! I love this big bow made from pieces of canvas from Canvas Corp, and some Petaloo Trims …then I just added the DIY flowers on top.

 

 

I used the same flowers on the cute little bag tag…Burlap Butterflies and Blossoms, and the Mixed Textured Layers. The layers are super fun too..you can build your own flowers and there are many sizes in the package.

Hello Petaloo Fans and welcome to the Petaloo/Canvas Corp Blog Hop! I have chosen to do a 12 x 12 Canvas Corp Burlap Canvas…with Heritage photos of my dad. I find the earthy colors are perfect for a Heritage piece.

 

To start I did a bit of masking with a thick gesso on the Burlap Canvas. I also used a brush and added a bit of gesso around the border.

 

 

Next I added some splatters of the Mist and Gimmer Glam from Canvas Corp.

 

 

The DIY Sunflowers and Daisy Layers are also just misted. First I spray them with a bit of water so the color blends smoothly on the Petaloo DIY flowers. The Petaloo DIY flowers are so perfect…you can create what ever color  you like for your projects!

 

Behind the photos I added in a piece of darker canvas from Canvas Corp and a matting of paper from 7gypsies. The cute little cloths pins are also a Canvas Corp piece!  

 

 

To finish off the clusters I added in the DIY Burlap Pick and DIY Queen Annes Pick. I left those both white as I loved how they popped on the clusters.

Daddys Girls

Hello Petaloo Fans! Today my post id dedicated to Dads. This is my husband and two daughters…and they are both Daddys girls.

 

 

I just LOVE this mix of Dajeelings and Petites..and look at that gorgeous Blueberry Pick! 

 

I also tucked in a gorgeous Dahlia bloom…so pretty in the center of this Petaloo cluster.

 

 

Dads are so special with their daughters and mine have a fabulous relationship.
