CELEBRATE FALL NOTEBOOK

Hello!

Today is my first post as a Petaloo Team Member, happy!!!

I have made a notebook to celebrate Fall, one of my favorite times of year.

 

 

I added two different collections to make it, "Harvest" from Authentique and "Place in Time" November month from Graphic 45.

I chose these Petaloo flowers, to make my notebook, because the color of them are perfect with Autumn´s projects.  I altered the flowers by adding glue to the edges and dipping them in glass sugar.

Time to Celebrate....

Tis the season to celebrate
Mom, Dad and the Grads!

This weathered 12 x 12 wood box
IS JUST THE PERFECT
backdrop for my creation!

I began by cutting a piece of
QuickBooks Scrapbooking Co ~ Joy Ride 400
to fit the inside of the box.

Using various The Crafter's Workshop Stencils
and a bit of Perfect Paints mediums
I created layers of color and texture.

When dry, I adhered the pieces to the box with
Multi Medium. I then cut a piece of mesh to fit
and stapled it in place.

I cut a heart from a piece of
QuickQuotes ~ Gypsy Road 700 paper.
Then used a quote stamp by Impression Obsession
which I cut up and adhered to the heart.

I pulled out some Petaloo blooms from the
Botanica Collection
Yellow
Peach
Coral
and Sugared Mocha
to create the flower clusters,
something simple but elegant!

What a wonderful gift
to celebrate someone you love!!

An Amazing Father's Day

Hello, Shellye with you today!  I have a handsome Father's Day card made with a few papers and chipboard pieces from Quick Quotes and Petaloo Darjeelings.

I started with a combination of papers from the "Joy Ride" "Catalina Island" and "Gypsy Road" Collections.  I die-cut letters to spell out "dad" and used some sticker letters from my stash to tie together the sentiment.  The sentiment sticker is from "Gypsy Road".

To the bottom, I cut apart one of the chipboard pieces and used it as a border, along with a strip of the dot paper.  I hand-cut one of the cards from the paper and added it with foam adhesive.  A Darjeeling Black/Cream flower, Darjeeling Hydrangeas and a teal Petite flower were mixed together to the side. 

Wouldn't dad love strolling through such a pretty scene of flowers on Father's Day!

All week long both Design Teams Members, we have being sharing some inspiration projects featuring products of both companies for Mother's Day ...

Here it is my take...

I initially started by making a single card for mother's day...
I pieced some "Quick Quotes" papers in a diagonal way.
At the bottom left, I added a "Pie shape" and made an arrangement with "Petaloo" flowers.
On the top I made a small banner using some "Quick Quotes" banners and sayings.
I die cut some letters to make the word MOM.

 

Here are the papers and stickers from "Quick Quotes" and "Petaloo" Flowers that I used...

 

I had so many pieces left over from the initial card that I decided to make some cards for her to use and send.

So that is how I came up with this small gift packet of cards for Mom.

From ONE sheet of stickers and FOUR different designs of A2 (4 1/4" x 51/2") papers (see photo on the left corner)
I got SEVEN completed cards...pretty good isn't it?

All The sentiments are from the sheet of stickers and the black words "thanks " and "hello" are die cuts with a punched leaf added at each extremity.

I tied the cards with this ribbon to make a simple gift packet of cards...

Hello Petaloo Fans! I'm here today to share a Mother's Day Gift for my Mother in Law! I already have one for my Mom and needed 1 more to give my MIL. I happen to have a beautiful black lantern that was in one of the Flying Unicorn KOM that I didn't get to do. The Gorgeous paper from Quick Quotes fit the bill to a T for this project! The gorgeous earthy tones of the "Gypsy Road" Collection along with the Petaloo Darjeelings Oh my! Love the way the project turned out using these 2 together! 

I added chipboard pieces from the Sheer Joy Die cuts along with some from the Calypso die cuts to my flower cluster of Petaloo Darjeeling blooms. I lined the outside of the lantern with the Gypsy Road collection and edged with the yummy Powder puff Chalk inks from Quick Quotes! Drizzled in some 13 Arts Mica flakes. The Clock face is from Creative Embellishments, I altered it with the same Powder Puff Chalk ink on the raw chipboard. Then gave it a light misting of Lindy's to give it a deeper warmer tone. The Base layer of the chalk in form Quick Quotes was perfect to help me achieve the effect I wanted. Here are a couple of close ups..

Love the sayings that Quick Quotes has on the die cut chipboard pieces!! 

I added into my cluster a couple of Petaloo Honeysuckle Vine sprays and a Canterbury vine spray in Cream. For my cluster of flowers I used the Darjeeling Medium Mix, Darjeeling Hydrangeas in black and Cream, and some Peties in Cream. Always varying sizes to get a nice cluster. The vines help the project flow from top to bottom.

Hello everyone, Stacy here with you today on this amazing week of Mother's Day inspiration projects featuring Petaloo and Quick Quotes.  I don't know about all of you, but I tend to make projects for other people and never for myself.....that being said I wanted to created something for me for Mother's Day!!  I created a layout of my not so little girl!!  She will be off to college in the fall so I made a layout with one of her Senior pictures.  I don't have the shadow box yet, but i'm going to grab one and then place this in our living room!

Here is the completed layout (minus the shadow box). I'm loving this collection from Quick Quotes Gypsy Road.  This line goes perfect with the photo.  I love the brick pattern paper and cut it out around the edges for a different look.

Now for a couple of close ups.

You can see in the picture below how the Petaloo Burlap Wild Sunflowers look amazing around all of the Quick Quotes embellishments and helps to bring out the color in the lined pattern paper I used as the base!

Hello!   Shellye here to share a sweet and chunky mini album for mom using various collections from Quick Quotes, Darjeeling flowers and trims from Petaloo.  Albums always make great Mother's Day gifts...just fill with pictures or leave blank for mom to fill!

The front cover was decorated with the Darjeeling Teastained Spice Dahlia's and a bit of pom trim.  The large flower was hand-cut from one of the patterned papers and added with foam adhesive.

The album was constructed using the Sizzix Mini Album Die and papers from the "Joy Ride" and "Catalina" Collections. 

The collections also include fun chipboard pieces and cardstock stickers to enhance the inner pages. 

A manila envelope was added on a couple of the pages and a tag inserted so that journaling card be added.

When adding flowers to pages I like to make sure that they are offset from the opposite page so that it will lay comfortably.

Use crochet trim as a cute divider for the page!

Brads are always an easy way to dress up bookplate style stickers.

Most of all, just fill the album with things that mom will love!  Inspirational quotes, sentiments and lots of embellishments that will make perusing the album even more fun.
