Every year during the Fall ... we get requests to post "Day of the Dead" projects ... here is a great "Dia de los Muertos" choker from Denise Hahn with Snapguide directions to go with it!!
The Day of the Dead is filled with the most livley colors that celebrate and remind us of our loved ones who have passed. Today I have created a felt choker inspired by the holidays colors and themes. It was supr easy- just a piece of felt 12 inches by 2 inches. I took some Petaloo Trims to make make ties, and then continued using the Petaloo Fancy and Crocheted trims to embellish. I added in some scrap velvet, tulles and fabrics. Then used my glue gun to add my Petaloo flowers. At the end I decided to add in some of Petaloos Brads and I think it just made the design pop. I used my sewing machine to add on the trims but you could easily use a glue gun for the entire project. See my Snapguide Check out How to Make a Day of the Dead Choker by Denise Hahn on Snapguide. for the easy instructions. Supply list at end! Denise
