File Folder Card for Fathers day by Bibiana

 

Hello Petaloo friends:

Here Bibiana....

I made this file card for the upcoming father's day using The gorgeous Petaloo Flowers.

 

I used several dies from various companies, and I love the idea to make a small file folder containing inside a gift card for Dad!

 

I decorated the front  with this fun die Sweater and the inside with a bicycle die.

 

Here it is a shot of the supplies that I  used  from "Petaloo" and "Quick Quotes" papers

 

Various Petaloo Flowers.... some handmade in cream paper ready to be altered if you wish so, and some in "Kraft" paper with black dots...the black flower is in velvet with tulle! lost of texture!. I added some burlap and twine cord to finish the look.

 

The  patterned papers are from "quick quotes".

Remember to make the slants for the gift card (stamping up punch) before gluing this creme panel to the darker one

 

and when placing the bicycle die do not glue all the way the bicycle in order to insert the gift card properly...

see left side, the bicycle is ONLY glued with a glue dot on the wheel

in mini mix x8, medium mix x6;  and hydrangea x24

2- Quick Quotes papers

 

Busy....Busy.....Busy!

I don't know about you....
Spring/Summer has arrived....
and it seems like life has just gotten
VERY BUSY!

Holidays, graduations, birthdays...
not mention the get togethers associated 
with the above,
BBQ's, bike rides and camping adventures.

So sometimes I need to whip up a card 
that doesn't take a long time but
still has my style.

I cut a 5" x 7" card from a piece of Kraft Cardstock.
I then distrezzed the edges and stamped
on the card face using Graphic45 stamps.

I then chose a piece of Graphic45 paper, cut it to 
4" x 6" and distrezzed the edges.
I pulled a Doily out of my "misfit" bucket
and adhered the two together.
I tied a piece of jute around them.

I had some previously diecut Kraft paper and 
Vintage Lace flowers laying on my work table....PERFECT!

I then pulled out a couple of Glimmer Mists to match
the G45 paper, and a package of
White Botanica Blooms.
I spritzed one of the Botanica bloom with water,
applied a bit of mist around the edges
with a small paintbrush.
Sprayed a bit more water....
VOILA...a matching flower!

I had so much fun with my first
QUICK and EASY card....
I decided to try it again
keeping with the same basic design,

but with a with a few minor changes,
to make this card a bit more "manly"!

I changed up the doily, this time using Petaloo's 
Kraft Doily, with a piece of kraft ~ fluted paper.
The Bo~Bunny paper was a perfect match
for the "manly" card.

I could have kept going as there are
(4) Botanica Blooms
in a package....
....I think I might just go create a few more!

It's all about the Bag Tag!

It's that time of year....
all the Hustle and Bustle....
gift buying and giving!

But it's not just about the gift....
it's also about the wrappings.

I created a "Bag Tag" to adorn a simple, inexpensive bag.

I began with a tag from Graphic45's Large Ivory Tag Album.

 I collaged various papers onto the tag.
White washed it with Gesso.
Then applied texture medium through a stencil.

I also cut of holly from Graphic 45's Happy Holly-Days paper from
'Twas the Night Before Christmas Collection.

 I finished off my "Bag Tag" with Lots of Petaloo Botanica goodness.

Beaded Berry Picks
Faux Dried Minis ~ Cranberry/AmberGreen
Sugared Blooms ~ Burgandy
and various Fancy Trims.

As a bonus....
I created a Christmas Card, too.

Can I say....
I love how well the Petaloo Blooms match
the Graphic 45 Twas the Night Before Christmas Collection.

A Berry Cluster
Botanica Blooms ~ Red, Bedazzled with glitter
Kraft Doilie, sprayed Green
and a Textured Mini nestled in.

Which flower collection was on EVERY ORDER at CHA ???

Craft Paper ... flower collection

Seriously, this was one popular little collection!  

We were wondering if all our crafting friends were still "into" working with Craft paper ... so we thought we would create a few items & see how if people liked them...

How did it go???   Our customers LOVED them!!  YEAH!

 

 Here is our little Craft paper collection from the CHA show last week.  There are only 5 items in the Craft paper collection, but they were all really popular! 

 

You must see these beauties "close up" to really appreciate them!  They have the sweetest little patterns printed on them...music notes, french words, and sweet little polka dots...sooooo cute!!

 Craft Paper Butterflies (Papillion...to our French friends) were a HUGE hit!

 Craft Paper Doilies were also a favorite!  

Our Petaloo friends at CHA were so excited to try and paint, spray and alter this collection... which worked beautifully because it is made with nice & heavy craft paper!!  These flowers held up perfectly to all kinds of mediums!

If you like to "alter" flowers (or anything and everything hee hee) ...this is one collection you are going to crave :)

Craft Paper Mini's so cute and so sweet!

 Craft Paper Lg Blossoms were another popular item!  Don't you LOVE the details in the flowers?  The printing, the centers, the lightly shaded edges...c'est magnifique! 

Burlap Trims to coordinate with the Craft Paper flower Collection

To complete that natural & earthy look...we have our Burlap trims (which are also paintable) to use in your creations  ... they come in natural and ivory (shown above) and five soft spring colors you are going to LOVE!

Craft Paper Collection will be shipping in March to the stores...
