Hi everyone!! Lynne here and today I have something a bit different for you. Well, it's very different for me......bright, bold and totally wild!! A Mother's Day Gift Box, for that fun, vibrant and cool Mom in your life!!
I had an empty box of chocolates, the perfect size for a little gift box. So I decided to cover the bottom with some wrapping paper I had on hand. The top was completely rebuilt from bright yellow cardstock. Then I added a strip of polka dot ribbon around the box.
The cluster was created with a variety of ribbons and laces, roughly 6 to 7 inches long. I layered them on top of each other, and then tied it in the middle with another piece of ribbon. The wider laces and ribbons were cut lengthwise after the bundle was made....this gives it a shaggy look.
I spread out the ribbons across the top of the box, spot gluing in the middle, and where ever it was needed to hold pieces in place.
Then it was time to pile on the flowers, Anemones, Garden Rosettes, Dahlias and Petites, and in just as many colors too!!! I even added a few to the bottom edge of some of the narrow ribbons. I tucked in a few velvet leaves from the Hydrangea Picks, to finish off the piece.
I hope you enjoyed this wild Mother's Day gift box!!
