Hi everyone!! Lynne here, and today I have a St. Patrick's Day mini album for you, but I've added a twist........purple!! I love green and purple together, and I really couldn't resist mixing up these two colors on this mini.
I used a Heidi Swapp binder as my mini. First I added a good coat of gesso, and then I sprayed the whole thing with a few Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays. Once it was dry, I used archival ink and swiped it across the album, covering only the embossed areas as well as the edges of the album.
Over the doily, I added a diecut rectangle in a kraft colored cardstock, and then I layered on some Graphic 45 Place In Time (month of March) cut-aparts, and then I loaded up on the flowers and butterflies!! From minis to rosettes and papers to velvets, I used them all!!
I love all the different textures and heights of flowers here, mixed with a button that I covered in a burnt velvet fabric and some frayed twine that I looped under the flowers.
More layered flowers over the cut-aparts. And butterflies!!! Love these purple ones, they make my heart smile!
The spine was looking a bit bare, so I wrapped a piece of twine in each fold of the cover, and then glued the ends down in the center of the spine, making it look like it is cinched. I added more loops of frayed twine over top, more flowers, and a cute little St. Patrick's Day key on a garment pin, to finish off the album.
The next few pictures, are a few of my favorite pages in the album.
A banner within a banner for this page, layered with luscious minis. In case you're wondering about the pointy end of the banner, here's how I did it: I used a corner punch, turned it over so I could see where I was punching my paper, and once I was satisfied that the little pansy was in the center of the point, I went ahead and punched it. Easy peasy!!
I made an expandable envelope for this page, and I kept it pretty simple. Though I messed up one of my cuts....it's too short. Can you find it?
This page is interactive, though I forgot to take a pic of it. The little button right under the flower, holds the folded paper down. More butterflies....apparently I can't get enough of these cuties, and a little chipboard rooster (old, old, old!!!!), add charm to this pocket page.
And another pocket page, this one has a few tags that are large enough to hold 4 x 6" pictures on the back side.
Hope you enjoyed, and Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!
