Well hello there Paper Peeps. So very thrilled to be sharing my first Petaloo project for 2017. I'm combining The gorgeous Petaloo blooms with Nature Sketchbook from Graphic 45 and I must say it's a match made in heaven : )
This spinning shadow box display has four separate compartments to fill with lovely nature scenes. The base has a mechanism to allow it to be spun using the crystal knob on top so the 4 sides can be viewed easily.
The top is finished with coordinating papers patterns, a raised center section embellished with altered chipboard, roping and the crystal knob. I've also topped off the shadowbox sections with the Graphic 45 Staples Door Pulls. You can see I've tucked in a bit of moss to line the bottom of the box to add further nature inspired accent.
Each side has a different but coordinating look loaded with cut aparts from the papers and a veritable garden of flowers.
Taking advantage of the depth of the box I incorporated many of the paper pieces with spacers and curves to create a fully dimensional display and to allow room for flowers to be tucked behind the papers.
The altered chipboard elements are added to the shadowbox frame and provide additional places to embellish with the flowers to bring the display out of the box.
Last but not least a bit of seam binding in coordinating colors to soften the edges of the cards.
I'm so excited for this project to be displayed at the Petaloo booth at Creativiation ( formerly CHA) I hope the attendees enjoy seeing it there and maybe even give it
a spin. Wishing all of you a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G
