Hi everyone!! I am so excited to be sharing my very first project as a Petaloo DT!!! And it is........
A little Christmas Birdhouse. I am a huge fan of non-traditional colors, so this project is no exception. And I was able to use some of my fave Petaloo Flowers.
I used watercolor paper for the 'ship lap' boards and most of the die cutting. The roof also received a few die cut pieces, and a snowy glittery roof.
But the best part is always the flowers!! I added a few jeweled flowers, and my favorites.......velvet flowers.......they make me swoon!
I love all of the sparkle and shimmer on these flowers.....no extra work required. I also found a few Queen Anne's Picks in my stash, and added them here and there. I think they look a bit like lacy snowflakes.
And the flower cluster just wouldn't be finished without a few berries.
As a final touch, I added some faux evergreen bits behind the flowers, it really makes them pop.
I hope you enjoyed mylittle birdhouse, as much as I did creating it for you!
Lynne
