Hey there Paper Peeps! Well we're still sharing loads of fabulous back to school project inspiration here at Petaloo and I'm so excited to show off my Vintage Inspired Lunch Pail. I used a store bought case with a great little handle and metal clasp so I could skip right to the fun part....adding layers of patterned papers and gorgeous Petaloo flowers. Of course you can't carry your lunch in it.....but wouldn't it be super sweet to display on a shelf and store small keepsakes from the school year???
I'm pretty smitten with how it turned out. This vintagy paper goes so well with the flowers.
It's easy to go overboard with papers on cases like these so I just added a few layers on the sides where you would naturally change patterns like on the lid.
I will always love plaids and stripes together. It's just so classic. Incorporating the ruler border at the bottom helps to offset the visual heaviness of the striped lid.
I love the red tone of the Anenome...it's just a bit darker so it coordinate really well with the vintagy patterned papers. I'm adding Darjeeling Mini Garden Rosettes to lighten up the arrangement along with the leaves from the package and some trims and twine.
All the layers are attached using spacers between to add a lot of depth and dimension.
This clasp and handle will make it easy to collect and save keepsakes from school. The flat bottom will keep it standing upright to make a fabby vintage display.
