Hello, Friends! Seems like summer is zipping by at light speed, doesn't it? If your summer is anything like my summer, it means lots of parties! Birthday parties, slumber parties, pool parties...the list goes on and on. We just celebrated another birthday in our great big noisy family and it was grand! To keep "the littles" occupied, I had prepared a Nana Fun Bag project that was a real hit: we turned plain old flip flops into fabulous fashion footwear using Petaloo flowers.
This is one of those quick, easy and affordable projects that we all love. I found my flip flops at the discount store, so they were very reasonably priced. I filled a canvas bag with ribbons, buttons and beautiful Petaloo flowers so each of the girls could "design" her own flip flops. Julia (age 4) chose these pinkalicious ribbons, buttons and Gerber Daisies. I tied the bows, and hot glued everything. Better to have Nan's fingers hit the hot glue than the kiddoes!
Don't they look like they came from a fancy boutique?
Sophie was feeling in a purple mood, and I think she had the right idea. The purple bows look amazing with Plum Flora Doodles Fabric and Glittler flowers!
And she was gracious enough to model them for me!
Even Mom got in on the fun and made these super stylish flip flops using Ivory Burlap/Canvas Daisy Layers from our Textured Elements line.
We had some great laughs, enjoyed modeling our fashionable flip flops and built great memories, too. Who could ask for anything more?
Thanks for stopping by!
