Hey everyone Denise here, I love decorating my table for any occasion. Here is a Mason Jar Tealight centerpiece that you can make with a variety of colors to match any theme, from Birthdays to weddings. For this beginner project you will need a jar, 1 pack of Petaloo Velvet Hydrangeas and 1 pack of Petaloo Trims. The best part, is they are simple easy to make as long as you follow one important rule! Don't use hot glue! Why? Well I can only say I speak from experience to tell you even the smallest of tea lights will heat glass to the point of melting your glue off. Use a thick white glue such as Tacky Glue. Also, I use a rubber band to created a "guide" around the jar so I glue on my trim evenly.
Easy Steps:
Cut trim to fit jar (this one took 10 inches of each trim)
Use rubber band to align where you want your first trim, run a thin line of glue just under the rubber band
Let glue set for a minute or team then roll up the band to the next placement spot
Finally glue on the flowers- so I cheated and did a pre-glue with my hot glue gun to get the flowers to sit where I wanted them and then went back and applied my white glue- if using tacky glue just do now area at a time, let dry 5 minutes then roll over to next
Layer your flowers!
Drop in a tea light and your done!
Velvet Hydrangeas are made to be layered!
