Hi Petaloo Fans!!
Summer is upon us....
...and so are those rainy days!
If you have kids....rainy days
can be challenging days!
...whether at home or on vacation.
I have just the Kid's Kraft for you!!
You will need...
1 pkg of DIY Mini Mix x 8
1 pkg of DIY Mini Pearl Daisies
1 pkg DIY Mini Butterflies x 8
*enough to make 2 heart frames
A 7"x7" piece of Canvas
(for Heart)
a 20" piece of ribbon
Misc Stamps and Stencils
Archival Ink
Markers
I pulled out a few of the DIY flowers and LIGHTLY
colored each flower with 2 colors.
*I suggest you stay with
one "collection" of flowers
ie: Darjeeling or Botanica
I used Tombow Dual Brush Pens but any
die based markers would work!
If you don't want your kids using
your FAVORITE stash items
Crayola Markers ~ Broad Line
would work FABULOUSLY!
Spritz the flowers with water and watch the BEAUTY!
I squinched the Mini Mix Flowers into a ball
to help spread the color.
Set the flowers aside to dry.
I cut a heart from my piece of canvas,
placed a stencil on top of it and
colored away.
I stamped on my heart with Archival Ink,
*make sure ink is dry before the next step
I then spritz the stenciled area with water...
I ALWAYS think it's fun to watch the
color move!!
I dried the heart with my Heat Tool.
I cut a slightly smaller heart from a piece
cardboard to stabilize the canvas
and adhered together.
I diecut some leaves and
stamped using Archival Ink.
I cut apart as needed.
I adhered everything down
with Fast Drying Tacky Glue.
I hope you've enjoyed my Kids Kraft...
and take the time to
Kreate with your Kids!!

I love your heart canvas it turned out beautifully! I really like these paintable flowers and have been looking for them in my local markets with no luck. Thank you for showing that you can use other types of coloring options like inks. What a lovely way to start my day. Your mixed media canvas is really wonderful.
