Let's get started with
our DT member Stacy Rodriguez ...
Hello everyone, Stacy here with you today on the Petaloo blog. We have had an amazing week of Dads and Grads projects. Today i'm sharing a fun little altered gift bag idea which would be perfect for either day. I'm going to use mine for a graduation gift.
I love the Timekeeper collection from Marion Smith which is what I used on this project. Graduation day is such a huge moment in time and this collection also symbolizes how time has flown by watching my daughter and her friends grow up since grade school.
This is the finished altered gift bag.
In the close up photo below you can see I added a couple metal gear embellishments to accent the main clock. I used Petaloo Yellow Dahlias and also intermixed a couple of Ivory Textured Mini Blossoms. I used a 1" punch to punch out a few of the clocks from one of the pattern papers from this collection and popped them up in a couple different spots on the bag. I also spotted a few butterflies on the paper and of course had to add those as well. Finally I had some shear yellow ribbon to tie a little bow on the handle of the bag.
Supplies Used:
Petaloo - Mixed Textured Blossoms (ivory), Dahlias (yellow)
Marion Smith - Timekeeper Collection
Ranger Ink - Walnut Stain Distress Ink
Xyron - Mega Runner
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. I hope this inspires you to create a one of a kind gift bag for your special graduate!!
