Let's get the Halloween party started with Petaloo DT member Denise Hahn
I confess, I hate dressing up for Halloween- at least as an adult. So when there is a mandatory costume party I like to make myself a good old Mardi Gras Mask! When I went to take pictures of my masks, I realized these make great halloween decor. So do like I did and pour some corn kernels in a vase and make an instant centerpiece. Or add to a flower arrangement. You could even make tiny ones for cupcake picks! I used Core'dinations Neutrals Stack to make my masks. I used a little cheater embossing technique to give them that spooky look. I just searched the internet for a free Mardi Gras template and printed it right onto my Core'dinations paper. The most important part of this mask you can't see. That's where your Xyron comes in. I run my mask through my Creative Station 5 inch and then lay that on some chipboard to reinforce. Decorate with Petaloo Flower and Trim- then Hot glue a Washi Covered kabob skewer for the handle and that's it! I made you a little snap guide to show you how I made the Kitty mask- Have fun with your Halloween Crafts this season! -Denise
