Welcome SANDI & Back to School with Coredinations!

Hi everyone...I beyond excited to be joining this amazing team. Before I share my first project, let me tell you a little bit about me.

 

My name is Sandi Smith and I live in Newfoundland, Canada with my wonderful husband and 2 great kids, Rick is 22 and Claudine is 15.I started scrapping January 2010 and was immediately hooked! I am obsessed with all things associated with scrapping and I am sure I have read every how to and watched every tutorial that has been made! I am always in "scrapbook mode ", constantly looking at things in our everyday lives for sources of inspiration.

 

 

I love to tear, wrinkle,sew and to get messy with gesso, mists, stencils and paint and flowers are an absolute MUST! I also love to refinish antique furniture, make wreaths and my latest love is painting those distressed wooden signs you are seeing all over Pinterest!  
I don`t have a definite style...my creations can be vintage, shabby chic or loaded with paints ,sprays and gesso...depends on my mood and what inspires me at that time. I think I am a layout girl but I also love to think outside the box and always enjoy a good challenge to get those creative juices flowing!

 "Back to School" with Coredinations!!

Fall always comes to mind whenever I think about "Back to School" and I just love the beautiful colors of Autumn. So I decided to put those colors to good use on an altered clipboard and added a little inspirational quote to get the kids back into the study mode!

I applied the Vanilla Cream Core'dinations cardstock to the clipboard and sanded the edges with the Core'dinations Sand it Gadget. I then started my flower cluster on the top and also made some rolled roses from the French Roast Cardstock.

I finished it off with a hemp bow, an old paintbrush, a little gesso and a few splatters of mist!
