This month we are teaming up with Simple Stories and as I do with all of my Design Team boxes, after I wipe off the drool, I start to look at everything all laid out in front of me and see what it tells me to make. I was like "SN@P, [email protected] have I seen that?" Then I remembered that bought this amazing Simple Stories SN@P Binder and Inserts ages ago because I was intrigued by having a quick way to scrapbook. Perfect! Time to make my first SN@P Book! But wait, I can't squeeze all of my amazing Petaloo Flowers into those plastic pouches right? No problem- I just stuck them on the outside! SN@P Books are actually a great way to combine traditional style scrapping with the fun and ease of using the plastic pockets. So let's go for a tour of My January 2014! See the photo captions for tips on creating your own...
The Cover is a perfect place to use your traditional scrapbooking style of flower arrangement!
I used my Groove Book as the inspiration. Groove Book is an app that lets you print 40-100+ photos right off your phone camera for only $2.99 a month subscription. I just took my January book and picked out all that happened in January!
Petaloos Vintage Label Plates- LOVE!!!
See how easy it was to attach Petaloo Flowers on the outside? A Dab of hot glue or glue dot will do it!
One of my favorite flowers from the Botanica collection (Botanica Bloom x 4)- when you close the book it flattens out... but when you open it again, it pops back to life! Make sure to see my supply list at the end of the post...
Petaloo Textured Flower Collection - Textured Bloom x 4 & Textured Mini ~ both in amber
To the left is the first page Divider. I covered each side with Simple Stories paper and embellished like a normal mini album page.
Adding the Petaloo flowers just make the plastic pages come to life! Plus, they are small enough to use inside an album!!
Yes, you can even glue Petaloo's Fancy Trims to the plastic- Tacky Glue worls great!!
So are you inspired? I can't wait to get my next month Groove Book. This is a fun way to scrapbook, rather than wait for a specific event, I can just scrap the month based off of my camera phone pics. Sn@p Albums are addicting, I actually ran out of sleeves to put stuff in. Simple Stories gives you so many amazing objects to put in their albums from stickers to die cuts, and transparencies- the possibilities are endless and so much less intimidating than making up a whole album all on your own.
Have fun & enjoy...
Denise
