Serioulsy so exciting to get all these little canvases to work with for the holiday! Creating holiday decor is one of my favorite things! This little tree was made with Canvas Corp canvases that are 4x4in, 3x3in and 2x2in. Wouldn't it be fun to make a little canvas for each member of your family (in my case my sweet pups) or invite your friends over and have each of them make one of their own? I chose my Petaloo flowers first, then found some paper die cuts that matched and took it from there!
After the Holidays I always save all of the little decorations from packages and bags and put them in a box marked Christmas-then the next year when I am working on my projects I take out the box and have all sorts of goodies to decorate with.
Here I used my Petaloo Trims and Vintage Trinkets-keeping it simple makes this an easy group project for friends and kids
I had a bigger gap between the canvases on the left-so I used my Petaloo Fancy Trim as a tie
As you are planning out where to put all of your decorations, don't be afraid to leave one or two just very simple- like the top photo- it will make your tree more balanced. If you like my little Instagram prints you can get them here at Printsagram
These Chantilly flowers are just gorgeous! Look at the pretty texture and colors- this one flower made such a great focal piece
I assembeled the tree using small eye hooks available at any Hardware Store and Jump Rings from a craft store. Lay out your canvases-mark with pencil where you want your hooks to go. After that use a thumbtack or heavy needle to countersink the holes first, that will make it easier to hand screw in the eye hooks. I found after I laid it all out and hung it- it sort of lost it's shape- That's where the vintage thread spools came in. I just covered them with paper and hot glued them in as spacers.
Supplies:
Petaloo Flowers:
Chantilly Collection Mixed Blooms Blue/Green
Fancy trims Assorted Glitz- All Light Blue
Petaloo Accessories Vintage trinkets x6
Other:
Canvas Corps Stretch Canvases in Burlap and Natural
Authentique Glistening Components Die Cut Paper
Clearsnap Colorbox Catseye Dark Brown

Round Eye Hooks
Jump Rings
Have a great Crafty Holiday! - Denise

I wanted to pin this tree but I didn't see it on the board. I pinned a paper tree that uses distressed paper as the limbs. It - and several others - are pinned on my Petaloo board.

I love the idea of this tree. It doesn't take a lot of space, it uses up scraps from previous years as well as current, and it's a great showcase for pictures.
