Hello everyone! Tammy here with you today to share a home decor project featuring Petaloo and a grouping of Canvas Corp burlap mini canvases.
After arranging my canvases in a pattern I liked, I turned them over and adhered a piece of mat board to the backs of them to hold them together as one piece. To adhere them securely, I used Helmar 450QD glue.
I used the Textured Layers pack in Moss Green to create green flowers for my canvas to mix in with Ivory Textured Flowers. In addition to creating flowers with the centers included in the package, I also created centers with petals to make additional flowers. To create a flower, I gathered the petals of one of the a layers together so that the center of the flower made a point.
I cut a small length of floral wire and held it under my thumb along with the folded flower.
I wrapped the wire around the point of the folded flower. After wrapping a few times I trimmed the wire near the flower point.
I cut a small hole in the center of another flower layer. I inserted the wire point through the hole.
The two pieces together create a flower.
I wired the two long stems together from the Ivory FloralEphemera pack to create one long spray. I added addition flowers from the Ivory Textured Flowers pack and flowers I made from the Textured Flower Layers pack around the spray. I cut apart extra Flower Layers to use leaves and as textured inserts in the flower cluster.
I colored white crinkle ribbon with pinks, peach, and brown inks. I tied a big fluffy bow and wound the ends of the ribbon throughout the arrangement. (Isn't the Ivory Textured Flower so gorgeous? I love the texture of the center and stamens so much!)
I die cut a small doily (Sizzix Note To Self Thinlits) from a piece of packaging from Petaloo Accessories Vintage Trinkets. I added ink to the die cut and layered it with an ornate Vintage Trinket.
I finished the piece off with a ink stained tag with a stamped sentiment.
After all of my pieces were adhered I added a hook to the back so that it could be hung on the wall. I really like the way using assembled canvases creates a piece with such a unique shape. It makes the piece truly unique!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope my project gave you an idea for ways to use small canvases for a larger art surface!

Thanks for the tutorial. The flowers are beautiful and look easier to make than I would have thought. I might have to go make some! Pinned it to remember :)
