Its DAY 5 of our Christmas Blog Hop with Authentique! We hope you enjoy this amazing Advent Christmas calendar & card from DT member Alice Carman.
Plus, leave Alice a message and be entered to WIN a prize from our Giveaway today ...
As I child, I loved counting down the days till Chritmas so I thought making a calender myself would be super fun.
I created 25 envelope pockets with a slide out tag using Authentique's Tradition collection with stickers and Petaloo's Chantilly Collection Velvet Hydrangeas - Rose.
This packet comes with matching velevet leaves and beatuiful color tones to match your favorite Authentique paper collection for the holidays.
Here's another view of the envelope pockets with the slide out tag. I topped the tag with Petaloo's Brads that come in all sorts of sades to mix and match.
Using the stickers from the Authentique Tradition's collection. I used the play on words stickers to leave hints for each day as to what the kids could be doing or hints as to where they can find small little gifts hidden around the house.
I used so many different flowers from Petaloo's vast collection so nothing goes to waste. This would be the perfect project for all those loose flowers you have laying around. My incentive for using up all my flowers is to go out and get more. That way, I am up to date on all the new releases and don't feel like I missed out since I used my flowers wisely.
I loved the look of the Textured flowers from Petaloo in this shade of green. It's perfect to use with Authentique's Tradition collection, don't you agree???
These textured flowers come in so many shades, you'll have to get them all! I loved using them because of the texture it gives. I love that forest appeal...KWIM???
Here's a view of the entire project.
I still had tons of paper left so I created this card using the journal cards from Authentique's Tradition collection and Petaloo's Bontanica and Textured flowers.
These Bontanica flowers are so silky smooth, they alomost feel and look REAL!
Hope you enjoyed today's post. Have a wonderful holiday!
Alice :)

WOW - fabulous advent Alice and your card is so pretty too!!! The papers are beautiful and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the flowers you have used - the textured flowers are especially awesome ... bringing back memories of the effort my Dad went to to source and grow a unique green flowering rose for me - it has an unusual texture too, so lots of special memories here, along with a big bundle of crafty inspiration :)
