Hi everybody! Helena here to share some Christmas inspiration using Petaloo's fabulous flowers with Authentique's beautiful Christmas papers.
First I have a gift box to show you. I have used the Tradition collection from Authentique and the amazing Botanica flowers from Petaloo. I adore the new Floral Ephemera!
I have used a round paper box that I bought in the local dollar store, and dressed it in the Tradition papers (Peace and Medley). I have used some Petaloo trim around the edge of the lid.
I have decorated with Botanica flowers (Floral Ephemera and Botanica Blooms) in red and some cream Velvet Hydrangeas and a cream Mixed Bloom. I have "dusted" the flowers and leaves with some white gesso.
I have used a cute little Xmas Hat Pin Bow that I glued a diecut from Authentique on, saying "Surprise".
Here's the box from a different angle:
I have also made two cards, using another Authentique Christmas collection - Glistening. For this collection, Petaloos Textured flowers were a perfect match!
I actually made these cards into "congrats cards", since I have several of my family members having their birthdays in December.
I have used the papers Twinkle and Glitter (just love polka dots!) and some beautiful diecuts from this collection. For the larger card I have decorated with a Mixed Textured Blossom in teal and Mixed Textured layers in ivory.
For the smaller card I used a Mixed Textured Blossom in mocha and Darjeeling Dahlias. I have also decorated with Petaloo seashells. I have painted the flowers and seashells with a bit of gesso.
Thank you for stopping by today!

What a stunning idea. I have some really old hat boxes that I have saved my dad's 78 records in. I think it is time for a make over and this is just perfect! Will give them a real vintage feel.
