Hello all! I hope you are having a fabulous day! I want to share a special project with you today for the Petaloo / JustRite Stamps blog hop going on this week. I had so much fun creating a card and gift tag set with the Petaloo Velvet Floradoodles Blossoms and Hydrangeas and the JustRite Stamp set, Christmas Vintage Labels One. They go perfectly together.
I paired these the stamps and flowers with some new Teresa Collins patterned paper called Christmas Cottage. The colors are lush and the patterns are so ornate that the Velvet Hydrangeas and Blossoms are the perfect companion to them.
The card was created by stamping the label twice, once in Old Olive, SU! and then again in Cherry Cobbler, SU!. Then I cut out around the green colored label along the outside and then on the red label, I cut just the inside banner and circle portion. Then I stamped with Versamark the sentiment Merry Christmas from the same stamp set onto cardstock. I sprinkled it with Gold embossing powder and used my heat gun to set it. Then I cut out the sentiment using my Oval Spellbinders dies. Each part was popped up using foam adhesive for a very dimensional and detailed look.
Then I adhered the Petaloo flowers. I love the tulle netting in the center of the Burgundy Blossoms and the little bits of sparkle on the Velvet Hydrangeas. I also added a couple of the velvet leaves. It's a card that takes a little time but shows that you really care.
I created the tag in the same way as I did the card using different stamps. I also used some of the stamps in the set to create the background. Further down in the post I will show you how I did that.
This time I used the red ink for my label. I stamped it and then cut it out. Then I punched a 1 1/4 inch circle from some of the patterned paper and adhered it to the center with foam adhesive. Then I stamped the words Just for You on cardstock with Versamark and embossed it with gold powder. Then I punched it out with a 1 inch circle punch and adhered it to the patterned paper circle with foam adhesive.

I tied a green ribbon and bow around the tag and adhered my Blossoms and Velvet Hydrangeas around the bow. It makes a nice little bouquet around the seam binding bow.
Next I want to show you how I created the background pattern on my tag using the snowflake like stamp found on the JustRite Stamp set used in this project.
The first thing that you need to do is take a pencil and ruler and draw lines to create squares the same size as your snowflake stamp. Then stamp the snowflake so that one of the points is straight up in alternating boxes.
Then twist the stamp about 45 degrees so that the stamp looks like what I am holding in the picture. Stamp in the boxes that are left. In some of the boxes your stamping will go over the edge of the tag.
You can see here how the tag looks when you are finished stamping the snowflakes.
When you are finished stamping all of the snowflakes then erase your pencil lines.
Then using the circle stamp in the JustRite Stamp set Christmas Vintage Labels One, stamp inside the open areas created by the snowflakes. You will stamp two columns of circles.
Here is the background of the tag finished. There are a lot of different ways to use this stamp and others in the set to create your own patterned background paper.
Thank you for stopping by and taking a look at my project for todays post in the Petaloo / JustRite Stamps blog hop week. I know that you will be also be inspired by all of the other Petaloo and JustRite Stamp design team members as well!
