Hello all! It's Christine here today with an idea on how to create a unique home decor piece. Subway art is really popular right now so when I came across this subway art file on my Silhouette I knew it would be perfect for a what I had in mind.
I started with some gorgeous Tim Holtz paper from his Lost and Found paper collection. I chose a blue patterned paper for the background and a red patterned paper for the subway art. They match perfectly with the new colors, Red/Fushia and Teal/Aqua, in the Petaloo Darjeeling flower collection. I cut out the subway art and adhered it to the backgound paper.
Then I started adding flowers. I started with the larger ones first and then filled in with the smaller ones. I used Rangers Glossy Accents to adhere the flowers to the sides of the frame. I love the look and feel of the Darjeeling flowers. They are soft and wrinkled and resembled the look of dried flowers. There is also a great selection of different shapes, sizes and styles of flowers so that you can create the perfect garden on your project. When I had the flowers in place I added some Tim Holtz Idea-ology products like the filmstrip, tissue tape, metal star charm and key.
If you look very closely, you can see some of the beautiful new Petaloo Premier Glass Ornament Pins that were released at the last CHA show. Click on the pictures for an enlarged version of each photo to see them better. These glass pins are gorgeous and complement the Darjeeling flowers so nicely. After I was finished with my flower arrangements, I misted the whole piece with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Iridescent Gold.

Those are really creative craft that suit on as your home decor and I think it is also nice if you use these as your wall designs.
