Mother's Day is this weekend so I thought I make a couple cards that will inspire you to create a few of your own.

On this card I die cut some honeycomb shapes to match my Petaloo flowers.  Then I folded the flowers over the die cut and addes some Little Yellow Bicycle sticker leaves and rhinesones for texture.  Super cute and easy to put together!

This card was created using Little Yellow Bicycle Hello Spring collection and Petaloo's Mulberry Paper Flowers.

I die cutted a few shapes using LYB Hello Spring collection papers and added the Birdy Dazzlers.  Simple and clean, perfect for a quick card and just in time for Mother's Day!

Aren't these little birdies adorable? They work so well with LYB Hello Spring collection. Almost like they were meant for each other.

How do you layer flowers?

Today's post is all about flowers.  It's the perfect embelishment for Spring!  I love all the fun and bright colors of this season. Petaloo's Flora Doodles have the right shape, size and colors.  

I couldn't decide what flower I like best so I used a few to create today's card.  Don't you just love these flowers?

I started layering my largest Flora Doodles flower and used the smaller Flora Doodles flowers to fill in the empty spaces on my card.  I also tucked in die cutted leaves where needed.  This is a great way to build clusters and to add more texture to your card.

Want another techinque to use on your card?  Using the Mulberry Paper Flowers I like to fold them over and layer them on another.  I like this look because it reminds me of a Cone Flower Daisy(my favorite).  

The only difference between a real flower and my card is my flower has a cute frog on it.  You can get these adorable frogs from the Dazzlers Water Animals collection.

I love Spring!

Hi everybody! Helena here to share a couple of Petaloo projects with you. Spring has finally arrived, and I just love this time of year - love when everything comes to life again and even the rain smells good, not to mention the first Spring flowers!

Speeking of flowers, Petaloos Flora Doodles, Mulberry Paper Daisies and Dazzlers were just perfect for my Spring themed cards. All the colors of these flowers just makes me happy!

First, a card in yellow, red and green - such a yummy color combination! I made my cards sized 3x3, a size that's perfect to tuck into a bouquet of flowers :)

The second card is in yellow, pink and blue. Look at the little bird - isn't it adorable!

Then, I decided to make a card in black and white with one additional color. Using flowers in only one color in several layers, makes the flower really pop of the card. I love the rich red color in these Mulberry Paper flowers. This card is size 6x6.

A Gift and Card in Spring

Hello Petaloo fans! Do you all have some parties to go to this month? Need to get some cards done or gifts to wrap? Why not add some Petaloo gorgeous blooms to match the season!

Today, I would like to share with you all a handbag gift box and a coordinating card which I've created using some beautiful Flora Doodles Jeweled and Mulberry flowers by Petaloo! These flowers are a perfect match with Bo Bunny's Alora collection. I've also used some cute Little Birdie Dazzlers on the bag.

Spring Floradoodles & Dazzlers

Well Spring is definitely here and Summer is certainly close on it's heels.  So to celebrate the warm seasons of the year I created a couple of cards using some fun Petaloo Dazzlers and brightly colored Petaloo Mulberry Street flowers.

My first card features the cutest little frog from the Water Animals Dazzlers set.  He is all glittered up and has rolly polly eyes.  He is just a super fun way to say Happy Birthday!

The bright pink Mulberry Street Flowers are from the Embossed Daisies collection, color Fuchsia.  There are a multitude of flowers in this pack, all in different sizes, colors, and even a few polka dotted ones.  I pop dotted them on some green leaves found in the Mini Tye-dyed Daisies, Yellow.  They just happened to be the perfect green color for card.

For my second card, I used theLittle Birdie Dazzlers.  It comes with 5 birds and the branch you see on my card.  I had this pretty bright yellow paper from Echo Park and thought that a combination of the yellow paper and yellow Mulberry Street Mini Tye-dyed Daisies in Yellow would make a great place for the birds to sit.

I added a few stickers and buttons to the mini Tye-dyed Daisies centers and pop dotted a few for dimension.  I should mention that the Dazzlers have a lot of dimension to them already.  They come mounted on some foam adhesive and some of the parts are also popped up as you can see on the blue bird feather in the photo above.

Oodles of Doodles

First, take a peek at Lisa Valentine's wonderful projects for Spring with our new Petaloo Floradoodles!

 

I picked up this little lavender wreath for a few dollars at Micheal's and new exactly what I wanted to do with it.

Have you seen Petaloo's new chipboard pieces???  Have ya??  You have now!  I painted the butterflies with some Shimmerz and then embossed them with Ranger's Bridal Embossing Powder.  I embellished them with pearls and some of Petaloo's Feathers!!  Yum......

The flowers are Flora Doodles that I combined to create little colorful magnolias.  Suh-weet!

THEN, I found myself inspired by a vintage stock photo I found.  I looked at the picture....looked at the bright and springy Flora Doodles....looked back at the picture and heard the theme to Hawaii Five 0 in my head (and visions of a shirtless Alex O'loughlin). *walkin' it off*  I knew that I wanted to create a 1950's style card with art deco colors and a tropical feel.

OK, this really isn't my normal style, but every once in a while you just have to let loose and do something different.

Flora Doodles Tye-Dyed Gypsies are too cute and absolutely perfect for the look I was going for.  I topped them off with a Bird Dazzler.

That cute little frame is part of Petaloo's new chipboard collection.

Easter is on the way!!!

Both of my children are teenagers now, so the days of dressing up for Easter are long gone. (Very Sad Face!) But while walking through the Dollar Store the other day, I just couldn't resist buying a plain jane Easter bag to jazz up! Here is a picture of the little cutie before I got my hands on it.

When I opened up my box of Petaloo goodness for this month, I'm in love!! The sweet and beautiful Hyacinth Color Theme of the new Spring Darjeeling Collection is so perfect with this season.

I've created a layout using the flowers, pins and vintage dazzlers and coordinated them with Bo Bunny's new Country Garden paper line. Ther are absolutely perfect for each other!!  Here are some close-ups on it.

Cards, Cards, Cards by Tanisha!

Cards...can we really ever make enough for all of the special occasions and holidays in a year? My solution is to make a card or 2 whenever I create a layout or altered project. Sometimes, I am inspired to throw caution to the wind and cut that big 12x12 piece of paper into a card.

This "Forever" card was inspired by a Christmas card that I created a few months ago. I thought it would make a great "everyday" card. I used Petaloo's gorgeous new Darjeeling Daisies X 4 as the centerpiece here. I use the mini pearl daisies to acentuate the embossed flourishes.

This card would be perfect for any Aniversary, Wedding or Friendship occassion, don't you think?!!


This birthday card came together in about 5 minutes thanks to the new Vintage Dazzlers! They are embellished, glittered and even have their own sentiments. All I had to do was create a base (which in this case is the packaging from the flowers...YAY upcycling) and add some ribbon and one of the Darjeeling butterflies and the card was done. 

How sweet and pretty!  What mother, sister or friend would not like to receive this easy and stunning card for their birthday?!

My favourite shoes!

Hi everybody! Helena here to share a Petaloo-layout with you. I chose to do a page with a very special Valentines-theme, as Valentines day only is a few days away - I wanted to express the love I have for my fav shoes *lol*. A girl can never have to many shoes, but once in a while you find those special ones, the ones you want to wear everyday, for every outfit. My fav shoes are red, and that fact made me think about doing this page.

I used Valentines-papers and stickers from Jillibean Soup and gorgeous flowers from Petaloo - Jeweled candies, CMC hydrangeas (that I kept white to make them "pop" a bit in this colorful page) and Tiffanies treasures. This page is a bit unusual to be me, but I kind of love it anyway!

Here's a close-up of a few of the flowers (and my shoes!). I even did a bit of journaling, which I rarely do.
