Let the grungieness begin!!!

Hello peeps........Lynne here to share with you my latest creations! 
I chose Tim Holtz ~ Paper Stash ~ Kraft Resist paper
which just complimented
the Late Spring Darjeeling flowers SOOOOO wonderfully!!

 
I cut a frame from a piece of black Kraft~Core
from the Nostalgic Collection.
Do you see the Color Me Crazy Chipboard
the PERFECT addition to my card and canvas!!

I added a bit of Crackle Paint
to help with the grungieness of the card!



For my canvas, I used the backside of the leftover
Kraft Resist paper! A bit of spritzing and scrunching....
And I ended up with a WONDERFUL Mother's Day gift!
 (which by the way......my mom LOVED!!!)

Fun Spring Tag

Hi there! It's Irene here again and I'm still in the Spring mood here! Today I would like to share another small tag which is also inspired by this season. I've used some beautiful mini tye-dyed daisies and some spray on this tag.

Here are some close-ups.

I've also added a beaded hat pin on the tag.

I've used layers of the mini tye-dyed daisies to create the rose liked dimensional flowers.

From Paris with Love - part 2

In april I showed a layout with Amber on the Eifel tower in Paris using beautiful spring flowers.

Today I have a simular photo only I turned it into a more vintage layout using the beautiful Darjeeling Collection of Medium and Mini flowers by Petaloo.

This flower collection has lots of great flower shapes such as Hydrangeas and Mini Daisies in the perfect vintage colors of cream, black and burgundy!  In addition, many of these flowers have really cool metal centers. The best part of these flowers?  They are made from Recycled paper!

There are lots of papers to match these flowers... Tim Holtz, Graphic 45 and Bo Bunny are just a few.   Why don't you pick some up and make your own Vintage layout today?!

From Paris with Love

Dear Blog readers.

Mireille here... Last month we started spring with a visit to Euro Disney in Paris. We had blast but it was Amber's big wish to see Paris for real.. the city.. outside the Disney park. She so wanted to see the Eiffel Tower. She said it was her biggest wish in the world.. a wish from the heart. So how could we refuse?  We had a blast.. Paris was beautiful.. the Eiffel tower was beautiful, but most of all I enjoyed watching my little/ big girl enjoy herself. Before we went she made a study out of the Eiffel tower.. and her teacher helped her.. looking everything up on the computer. How long it took for them to build it.. how many people build it .. when.. and why.. and how high it is.

And high it was at the top. She enjoyed the view till she ran out of pocket money.. (and believe me she saved a lot) There was nothing more I could do then scrap this photo of this wonderful moment using the beautiful soft pink tones of the Spring Darjeeling Collections. I  especially am very fond of the little pearls in the mini pearl daisies.. I thought they were só "Paris"

Birthday Card and Gift Box

Besides scrapbooking, my other favorite thing to use my Petaloo flowers on are cards and gift packaging. It's amazing how you can dress something up with just a few gorgeous flowers.

So today I am showing you my matching card and gift box.  

The card was made using some lovely Graphic 45 paper from the Lullaby collection.  I wrapped a couple of ribbons from May Arts around it and then adhered a large daisy from the new 2012 Premier Spring Darjeeling Collection in Pistachio.  Then for a little extra I also attached some dark brown leaves from the same Darjeeling collection. 

The box that I created is from SVG Cuts and was cut using my Silhouette.  I also attached a flower to the box from the Pistachio color theme.  These medium sized flowers are the Dahlias. There are three different colors in the package.  The smallest flowers on the sides of the box are the Mini Pearl Daisies.  I thought it would be nice to tie it all together with a string of pearls along the top of each flap.

So here is my gift and packaging all ready to go.  

I love these new Darjeeling flowers because they are so easy to use.  All of the distressing has already been done so it's so quick to put together a nice card fast! Be sure to check out all of the new colors available from the Winter 2012 CHA show plus the matching accessories.

Farewell Post

Hello Petaloo fans, it's Tanisha here with my final post as a Petaloo Design Team member.  I have had the pleasure of designing for this team for 2 years, but as we know, all good things must come to an end. 

I created a nice and simple Spring layout for my final post.  I stretched my title across the page and embellished with the Darjeeling Mini Pearl Daisies and a butterfly.  The embellishments match the Quick Quotes papers and the photo so perfectly!

I used bubble wrap and WOW embossing powder to create a little texture to the background.  I then inked over the embossing with Quick Quotes Powder Puff ink and added a couple of those gorgeous butterflies from the Darjeeling collection.

The different hues on each flower really give them a life-like appearance.

Spring has Sprung.....

Howdy folks......Lynne here from the wonderful
state of New Hampshire where..

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!
We have had unseasonably warm weather.....
NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING
AT ALL!!!

What goes better with beautiful weather
than BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS
and I have to say the
SPRING DARJEELING LINE
fits this bill!!



I create this litte ditty to hang in my kitchen!

Now, when I create.....
I try not to take what I am using
JUST AT FACE VALUE....
I like to look past what it is
and see what it could be!



If you look closely at my flower cluster,
you can see that I have taken apart one of the
GLASS FLOWERS
and used it as accents.
I also seperated one of the
NIGHTFALL ~ DAHLIAS
folded then in half and tucked them in
to use as subtle accents!!

What secrets do you hold?

Hi everyone!  I found this little box at Michael's.  I think it was $3.  Anyway, it was hideous but I loved its "bones".  I just knew it would make a great little box if it had a face lift.  Well today is its lucky day because I have some yummy Petaloo and Graphic 45's Olde Curiosity Shoppe to make it purdy!  LOL 

Aren't those flowers sweet?  The perfect touch to adorn my box of curiosities.  Don't ask me what kind of curiosties are in the box.....you know what they say about cats and curiosity.  'Nuff said.  :)

I used a Shabby Beige Darjeeling Daisy as my focal point and grouped Nightfall Darjeeling Dahlias and Canterbury Berry Picks in Black around it.

I also tucked in some Nightfall Mini Daisies and a Shabby Beige Butterfly. 

I turned the box on its side so you could see the inside.  I finished it off with a blue stain lining.  A girl needs to make sure her curiosities are kept safe. ;)

Spring is in the air....

In New England, the weather has been ANYTHING but spring like....
but a girl can dream...RIGHT!

When I think of spring, it congures up the thought of birds returning,
plants poking through the ground and a new smell in the air.
When I saw the BEAUTIES newly released at CHA....it took me there!!


I pulled out a dollar store cheapie...which I must say was a tad hideous.
Using the BEAUTIFUL Graphic 45 Tropical Travelogue, I covered the birdhouse,
I then wrapped it with a lucious piece of ribbon.



Then it was.....bring on the PETALOO GOOODNESS!!

You're amazing!

Hi everybody! Helena here to share a couple of Petaloo-projects with you!

When I got Petaloo's new Darjeeling flowers in my hands the very first word that I thought were - amazing!! And then I thought that would be the perfect title for this page about my darling son, because he truly is one amazing boy.

The papers from Graphic 45, "Little Darlings", match the Petaloo, "Spring Darjeeling" ~  Pistachio colored flowers so well, don't you think?

A couple of close-ups of these beautiful flowers:

(I used the "Spring Darjeeling" Lg Daisies, Dahlias, Frosted Roses, Butterflies, Beaded Hat Pins, Mixed Foliage in dark Brown and Velvet Grape leaves to frame the photo)

When I was finished with my layout I decided to go all green *lol* and I decorated a Dusty Attic-frame with pics of myself and my dh and lots of Pistachio-green Petaloo flowers. (And I know you can't see this in the photo of me, but I actually have a Petaloo-flower in my hair - a red velvet and lace flower!)
