Let the grungieness begin!!!

Hello peeps........Lynne here to share with you my latest creations! 
I chose Tim Holtz ~ Paper Stash ~ Kraft Resist paper
which just complimented
the Late Spring Darjeeling flowers SOOOOO wonderfully!!

 
I cut a frame from a piece of black Kraft~Core
from the Nostalgic Collection.
Do you see the Color Me Crazy Chipboard
the PERFECT addition to my card and canvas!!

I added a bit of Crackle Paint
to help with the grungieness of the card!



For my canvas, I used the backside of the leftover
Kraft Resist paper! A bit of spritzing and scrunching....
And I ended up with a WONDERFUL Mother's Day gift!
 (which by the way......my mom LOVED!!!)

Spring is in the air! Well, almost that is. I don't know what it's like in other countries, but we in the north, Sweden, always long for spring. We have such dark winters and some days, if you work indoors, you don't see any daylight at all. It's already getting lighter though, and in about a month or so the snow will melt and we will se spring flowers pop up here and there - I can't wait!

Even though my sister and her husband got married in October, I wanted to do a light and bright layout with some pics of the newlyweds. Since springtime often means weddingtime, I felt this theme would be a good one for my sisters weddingpics and hopefully this page will inspire all of you to sprinkle some gorgeous Petaloo flowers on your spring pages, weddingpages or others!

 

I've used lots of beautiful Petaloo flowers and leaves on this page and I love how light and crisp the colors look together! The large open rose was painted with crackle accents and then I sprinkled some yellow glitter on in. I treated some of my chipboard pieces from Dusty Attic the same way.

"the day of LOVE"....

...is here....not that EVERYDAY is a day to LOVE (just saying!!)

It's Lynne here....
and I had a day to just play....and PLAY I DID!!
I decided to pull out my Melting Pot, some Beeswax, a bit of canvas
and some PETALOO FLOWERS
and ohhh the fun I had!



with the upcoming "HEART DAY", I decided to create a Valentine Card.
The heart was cut out of Canvas, using a homemade template, I applied Beeswax to the heart. When cooled, I sprayed the heart with Color Wash.
I melted off the wax with my Heat tool.
Then I thought......hhmmmm...what if I dipped some flowers in the wax??
So, I tried it.......AND I LIKED THE EFFECT!!!
so much so.....I decided to create another card.

My favourite shoes!

Hi everybody! Helena here to share a Petaloo-layout with you. I chose to do a page with a very special Valentines-theme, as Valentines day only is a few days away - I wanted to express the love I have for my fav shoes *lol*. A girl can never have to many shoes, but once in a while you find those special ones, the ones you want to wear everyday, for every outfit. My fav shoes are red, and that fact made me think about doing this page.

I used Valentines-papers and stickers from Jillibean Soup and gorgeous flowers from Petaloo - Jeweled candies, CMC hydrangeas (that I kept white to make them "pop" a bit in this colorful page) and Tiffanies treasures. This page is a bit unusual to be me, but I kind of love it anyway!

Here's a close-up of a few of the flowers (and my shoes!). I even did a bit of journaling, which I rarely do.

Pretty Petaloo things at CHA...

 Hello from the last day of the CHA show...

There have been so many Pretty Petaloo things from the show, we wanted to show you some of them before it is time to take the booth down!!

The Vintage style is HOT, HOT, HOT!  It is everywhere in the show...in the beautiful papers, the ribbons, and of course, our Petaloo flowers and accessories!

These Vintage Dazzlers were a BIG HIT at the the show! They are perfect for ATC cards, layouts and greeting cards.  They were created from over 100 year old designs, how's that for vintage?  Plus, the stores loved that they are only $3.99 for a pack of eight!

Another BIG HIT at the show was the Petaloo " COLOR ME CRAZY" ALL WHITE flower collection!!

Our customers like to color their own flowers and we have over 50 styles of flowers, chipboard designs, frames and accessories to choose from...

 We were so lucky to have Eva Dobilas demonstrating how to color our white flowers with  Ranger Inks and Luminarte paints!

Are you all ready for a little Spring? Today, I would like to share a layout which is fully inspired by the photograph on it. This is a photograph of my furkid, Hiro, enjoying smelling all the fresh blooms in the garden. The yummy Sienna Darjeeling flowers by Petaloo are perfect to enhance the fresh atmosphere which I'm trying to create for this layout.

Hi everyone! I'm sure that one of the most popular project for this holiday season would be Christmas cards! Most of us would create some handmade Christmas cards for our special friends and relatives. Here's one which I've created recently using some gorgeous Petaloo flowers.

The beautiful papers by Bo Bunny is such a perfect match with the amazing blues in these Petaloo flowers. Here are some close-ups on it.

Tis the season.....with Petaloo and Jillibean Soup

Welcome to the closing weekend of the Jillibean and Petaloo Holiday Inspiration week!

We have had such a great time creating with all the Jillibean papers and embellishments!! We want to send a huge HUG and THANK YOU to the Jillibean DT and staff... Your products are so whimsical and so perfect for the holidays!!!!  

There is no better way to close this "holiday inspiration" week than with a few Christmas decorations from our DT member Lynne Forsythe...

Well, there is no snow on the ground and it's been one of the warmest Novembers in the North Country but that won't stop Christmas from being in the air!! 

Time to put up the tree, pull out the lights and
create some new decorations to adorn the house.

I pulled out an unfinished wooden sleigh and let the creative process begin!!!
How cute are the Jillibean Soup papers??
I just love the little penguins.
Aren't the packages just the cutest??



Using a hot gun, I attached wire to the back of the Petaloo flowers so they could be used
in the sleigh floral centerpiece.
