Hello Petaloo fans! It's Irene here with you again and this time, I would like to share with you all an altered acrylic tri-fold frame using some gorgeous Petaloo flowers and Graphic 45 beautiful "Mon Amour" collection. This tri-fold frame can be folded up to create a decor around your vase of Spring flowers.
I've added some soft elements to it using lace and ribbons.
To decorate it further and add more dimensions to it, I've used the flowers by Petaloo.

Maggi here with you today to tell you about my favorite time of the year is spring when the cherry blossoms appear and the flowers poke their little heads up above the ground. Spring comes early in the south and it won't be long before I'll have daffodils blooming in my yard and then quickly followed by my favorite dogwood trees and azaleas. Until that time I'll be happy with this sweet little tin watering can I made.
To make this project I first painted an aluminum watering can with white gesso just to give it a shabby look. Then I stuffed newspaper into the watering can so that the bird's nest would have something to rest on. I took some raffia and formed into a circle and stuffed into the can. I topped that with a cheap purchased bird's nest and since I was in Florida at the time, I went outside and gathered some spanish moss to add to my nest along with some tiny pieces of bark. To give it all a cohesive look, I dry brushed the nest and raffia with white gesso and tan paint.
I fussy cut some elements from Graphic 45's Time to Flourish Collection-May Flourish paper, and adhered to the can.
Of course Petaloo's dogwood blooms were perfect as they really illustrate my favorite blooms at this time of year!
Petaloo's Botanica Blooms in lavender/purple were the perfect flowers to go with my vintage dogwoods and the G45 papers.
The Botanicas are soooo pretty!!
When I saw our theme was Spring....
I couldn't WAIT to pull out
my "little" picket fence bench and
Petaloo's DIY flowers!!
HAVE YOU PLAYED WITH
PETALOO'S DIY FLOWERS???
THEY ARE A DREAM!
If you like to color things....
which I LOVE to do,
these flowers are just amazing!
Here are the flowers and foliage I
"colored" for my bench!
I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and
to "color" the DIY flowers and leaves!
I even added foliage and blooms
on the sides of my bench.
I added one of Graphic45's Chipboard 2
from the Children's Hour Collection
to the back of the bench.
I then covered a matchbox with
Graphic45's Children's Hour Collection
and placed it on the bench.
I hope you enjoyed my
Picket Fence Bench.
It is all wrapped and ready
to give to my mom!
I know right where she will be
Hello all of you wonderful Petaloo fans!! Tammy here today.. So are ya ready for Spring yet?! Well I am! I am sooo ready for the greens to reappear and the flowers to start blooming. Uggg all the gloom of winter and the cold needs to go away! LOL The Spring weather always brings out the shutterbug in me. I wanted my project to kinda reflect that. :) I played with some GORGEOUS papers from G45 the "Mon Amour" collection and boy oh boy some YUMMY Petaloo flowers!! It was a blast! These 2 dance so well together!
So what's a girl to do with so much Yumminess?! Hummm.. I dived in head first on a project I have wanted to do for a very long time! The vintage papers from G45 just begged me to do a vintage project.. Spring knocking on our doors, and the strong desire for some sunny warmth, and my camera well.. I decided to do a vintage camera. I have wanted to do one of these since I seen one that Tara's place had done few years back. Time had never been on my side to give it a go. I had that time now, so off to work I went to make my version of a vintage camera.. I made the entire piece. No pre made box.. Just a bit of imagination, and some inspo from old cameras pics. My inspo was from a Vintage Ellison Kodak camera. It was meant to be compact a pocket style. It still had the bellows like even older cameras. Fit my idea to the T.. Here is my project..
I sooo loved the elegant black and white papers from the G45 "Mon Amour" collection! I wanted to give my camera a elegant look to it. These worked well too! Also I could use any color of flowers too! This little dandy is loaded with Petaloo delights! The textures and soft colors well I was in heaven! The papers I used was the Precious One and the True love sheets. I was thrilled to see that this paper pack had 3 sheets of each! Yay!! Plenty to work with for this project! It even had sweet little butterflies so I could adorn my flowers and camera with them! How about another view?..
Lots of surface area to plant my little flower garden of sorts! I used 6 different bloom styles. I love to arrange different sizes in my clusters. I used Textured Elements Burlap Blossoms 4pk Ivory and Textured Elements Burlap Blossoms 10pk. These gave me the vintage white/ivory from my paper. For my pop of color I used some Botanica Blooms 4pk in coral, Mixed Blossoms 8pk in antique peach and Mini Daisy Petites also in Antique Peach. Just a bit of black to mix in my flower cluster too I used the Black Forget me Nots. Oh i had lots left over too! I am glad, because I will also make a mini using this collection to go inside the Camera. Yup I even have a place for the mini Album to go.. Let me show you!
The back of the camera closed..
The back of the camera opened..
I tried to get done, to get the mini done as well.. But sometimes things just don't work out like ya planned. A nasty cold slowed me down and a little bit of redos too. The bellows a kinda tricky at first.. It took a couple of tries to get them down, but now I think I could do them in my sleep! LOL Here are some close ups..
Lots of Creative Embellishment chippies and Flying Unicorn adornments to bring the camera to life. From the decorative pieces to the lens. It was a blast to make! I hope you enjoyed, and have a chance to put a project together you have been putting off too! Happy that I waited. Because these papers and Petaloo blooms was perfect for this camera!

Hello Petaloo fans! It's Irene here with you all today. This time, I would like to share with you all a project which you can create to decorate your home with for this coming Spring. I've created an altered acrylic clipboard using tons of Petaloo gorgeousness!
Here are some details on it.
I've used a mixture of purples and blues blossoms to create the cluster of flowers on this clipboard.

What's MIY-O? You ask? It's my new catch phrase so you heard it here first! It means: Make It Your Own. Basically it's a DIY project, that you sort of take and existing item and make it your own. To show you what I mean, here are few Valentines candies I picked up at the market. .99-3.99 each. I used some of my favorite Petaloo trims and flowers and made gorgeous handmade gifts. I created some Snapguides to show you how easy they were to make!
Here is how they started, just a few inexpensive Candies!
The guide to make this one is here:
The guide to make one of these is here:

Maggi here today to share some of my favorite things for this Valentine's Day! Here's a sweet little mailbox all ready to receive those all important love letters! I think this is a perfect piece to decorate your home or office for a fun Valentine's look!
The mailbox is covered with Graphic 45 Mon Amour papers; they are perfect for Valentines! Next I pulled out some of my favorite red and pink Petaloo blooms and yep, they're a match made for each other. Just look at all the gorgeous pink, red, and white blooms. They are all Petaloo blooms and go so perfectly with G45 papers.
I started out with a metal mailbox that I got from the Flying Unicorn store, there are alot of great OTP items there so be sure to check it out.
The Botanica blooms are some of the prettiest blooms out there and I've used the pink large bloom and an ephemera vine. That red bloom is one of my all time favorites, its a Textured Element. ( I have a complete supply list at the end of this post.)
I tucked in a flourish heart chipboard piece from Creative Embellishments that I painted with white gesso, added a touch of pink Silks and then did the leaves with Lindy's Gator Gumbo Olive.
My favorite color is red, ha, I think that is becoming sort of obvious! On the front I've used a mix of red Textured Elements and hydrangeas. The cute little heart is a Creative Embellishments wood veneer piece.

I love making Valentines cards, but my husband isn't really the romantic type, so I like to make them for my daughter and Mom. This pop up card is so fun and EASY to make. You just can't be afraid to "eyeball" it. I made you a little Snapguide to show you how.
