Take your scrapbook pages to canvas and make them pop with some Petaloo Flowers! Although I love scrapbooking, I also love to show off my work. Blending Mixed Media technigues with traditional scrapbooking can result in your own piece of wall ready art. Don't be intimaidated by the canvas, just think of it as an 8x8 scrapbook page and compose it as you like. Lets take a look and I will show you how easy it was to create this look.
The background for this canvas is simply 4 sheets of Authentique Paper from their Be(you)tiful Collection I just tear the 4 corners so that they already match up with the corners of my canvas, then apply Modge Podge or Matte Medium to the canvas-then paper-then glue down and coat with more Modge Podge. The image transfer of my sweet little dog Pippi (aka Pipsqueek, aka Squeeky!) is done on Scrapbook Attitude and a Xyron 5 Inch Creative Station. Have you tried this Scrapbook Attitude? It's super easy and comes out perfect every time. If you don't want to venture into to doing an image transfer- you can just print and cut out a favorite photo.
I then chose some great Authentique Stickers from Be(you)tiful- and edged them out with Donna Salazar Mix'd Media Inx in Stormy. Using Donna inks alow you to have work time- you can apply-then smear blend or rub off as you choose.
And now for the flowers! I used Petaloos Textured Elements. This is the Mixed Texture Blossoms X4 in Amber. I made the stems from We are Memory Keepers washi tape-using slightly tranparent elements keeps the depth of a mixed media piece.
Before I added the Petaloo's I used some of Clearsnaps new Art Screens and some Inkadoo stamps to add some simple flowers and chevrons
