Hi, Christine here today to share a simple way to get organized for the New Year. Ok, I'm really not that big into New Year Resolutions. I've tried but mostly failed at every resolution I've attempted. But this time I am going to resolve to do something for someone else instead of something for me and maybe that will motivate me more to follow through.
I make cards, lots of cards, but I have to confess, I am not good at sending them. Sometimes it is that I love the card that I make and can't part with it, {maybe I will work on that problem next year, :) }, or maybe I am just so busy and don't realize until it is too late that I need to make a card for a birthday, a thank you note, or just one to say hi.
So my New Year's Resolution is to get organized, premake a bunch of cards, including birthday cards for all of the members in my family, as well as plenty of thank you cards. I also want to create some generic cards that can be used for sending someone a special hello. So I decided that I needed a pretty box to store them all in and what better embellishments to use than Petaloo flowers.
The fun Pebbles paper, Seen and Noted, is bright and full of trendy patterns so I wanted to use some Petaloo flowers that matched their playful feel. The front of the box is decorated with beautiful Beaded Peonies in Fuschia and Red as well as Pearl Fabric Daisies from the FloraDoodles collection. I also used a ribbon from May Arts to make a loopy bow.
Then to get me started with some generic cards, I used some of my favorite Petaloo flowers, DYED to match Coredinations flower layers, and more of the Seen and Noted patterened paper to make some simple cards to put in my box.
Here are a couple of closeups of each card.
Please stop by my blog for the informaton on the pattern that I used to create the box. Have a great day!!

Thanks so much for using my card organizer. For those who are looking for it, here's the tutorial and PDF file: http://www.thescrapmaster.com/2013/01/card-organizer-3d-thursday.html

Tried to find that pattern for the card box on your blog, but couldn't seem to do it. Could you link it? Or give us the month it was posted? Thanks!

Absolutely awesome! Love the card, love the storage box. I have the exact same problem as you....hundreds of cards, but rarely send them. Have to change this!!!

These are great and I love your box too! I'm with you, needing to actually send cards and have some on hand for all those last minute card needs.
