I love flowers. I love color. So imagine my happiness when I got to create a layout with Color me Crazy flowers from Petaloo and Pan Pastels! I chose two shades from Pan Pastels - Permanent Red tint and Magenta Shade. Then I chose several color me crazy flowers - roses, wild roses, mixed florals and more - and started to play.
I started with my background. I painted the diecut paper with white gesso and then used a script stencil and modeling paste to create some texture. After the paste had dried I colored it with my pans. The colors blend so beautifully!
Then I colored my flowers - and boy, was this fun!! On some of the flowers I used the darker shade, on some the lighter. On a couple of the roses I used the lighter shade only on the edges. With only two shades of Pan Pastels you can get so many variations - I love that!
On this flower I have used the lighter shade, Permanent Red Tint, on the whole flower. The tools Pan Pastels have are easy to use. On the edges I have used some more of the same shade of color.
On these three flowers I have used both shades on the bigger one, the darker shade - Magenta shade - on the edges. On the wild rose I have used the lighter shade only, and on the rose I have used the lighter shade only on the edges.
On this rose I have also used the lighter shade of Pan Pastels on the edges only. Love the effect just a little paint gives! On the wild rose underneath I have used the darker shade in the middle and then the lighter one on the petals. The colors blend perfectly together.
I hope you have been inspired to color some Petaloo flowers today!
