The dog days of summer truly are upon us......
and with the kids still outta school,
folks are looking for things to keep the little hands occupied.
I came up with a simple, fun craft that has purpose. Bookmarks!!
I have step by step instructions on
how the bookmark was created.
Firstly, I gathered up an embossing folder and
a package of bookmarks by Canvas Corp.
I embossed 2 bookmarks.
I began by painting the bookmark with Inka Gold.
(a dab of water goes along way)
I then dried the bookmarks.
Next, I adhered the bookmarks together.
I then buffed the bookmark to bring up
the amazing sheen of the Inka Gold.
I pulled out some supplies from
the Flora Doodle Collection and
some ribbon.
Using a Crop a Dile, I punched a
hole in the top of the bookmark.
I cut (2) pieces of 18" ribbon.
I threaded the ribbon through the hole.
To decorate the face of the bookmark,
I began by applying (2) Flora Doodle Velvet Butterflies.
I then chose (2) each of the
Flora Doodle Small Fabric Daisies.
I then adhered matching Flora Doodle Daises
to each side of the ribbon end.
I then wrote a saying encouraging reading
on a strip of white paper.
Cutting the verbage to size, I adhered
to the face of the bookmark.
I hope I have inspired you to pull out some of your
supplies and to create a "creative" memory with your
children this summer!!
