Hi everybody! Helena here to share some Petaloo Summer inspiration with you!
I love color me crazy flowers - you can do anything you want with them, make them any color to fit into any page. Today I have two layouts to show you. The first one is about my son and I really filled this page with color me crazy flower layers, butterflies and wild roses. Some of the flowers and butterflies I painted with pan pastels, light turquoise, before I glued them to my page. When all the flowers and leaves were glued into place I painted them with gesso and texture paste. When dried I painted with pan pastels again. This treatment gives a really cool effect. You can hardly see where one flower ends and another begins! The letters were painted with white enamel accents.
Here are a few close-ups for you. I even painted the shabby canvas flower and Tim Holtz ornate plate.
My second layout is about my daughter and her cousin, they are almost the same age and play so well together. For this page I have used color me crazy flower layers and layered about 7 or 8 flowers, sprayed them with pink mist and then wrinkled them up a bit. The wild rose was also misted with pink mist. Then I have added some pink and purple Darjeeling dahlias and pearl daisies, they just had the perfect color for this page.
Close-ups:
Wishing you all a wonderful summer!
