Farewell Post

Hello Petaloo fans, it's Tanisha here with my final post as a Petaloo Design Team member.  I have had the pleasure of designing for this team for 2 years, but as we know, all good things must come to an end. 

I created a nice and simple Spring layout for my final post.  I stretched my title across the page and embellished with the Darjeeling Mini Pearl Daisies and a butterfly.  The embellishments match the Quick Quotes papers and the photo so perfectly!

I used bubble wrap and WOW embossing powder to create a little texture to the background.  I then inked over the embossing with Quick Quotes Powder Puff ink and added a couple of those gorgeous butterflies from the Darjeeling collection.

The different hues on each flower really give them a life-like appearance.

Spring has Sprung.....

Howdy folks......Lynne here from the wonderful
state of New Hampshire where..

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!
We have had unseasonably warm weather.....
NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING
AT ALL!!!

What goes better with beautiful weather
than BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS
and I have to say the
SPRING DARJEELING LINE
fits this bill!!



I create this litte ditty to hang in my kitchen!

Now, when I create.....
I try not to take what I am using
JUST AT FACE VALUE....
I like to look past what it is
and see what it could be!



If you look closely at my flower cluster,
you can see that I have taken apart one of the
GLASS FLOWERS
and used it as accents.
I also seperated one of the
NIGHTFALL ~ DAHLIAS
folded then in half and tucked them in
to use as subtle accents!!

What secrets do you hold?

Hi everyone!  I found this little box at Michael's.  I think it was $3.  Anyway, it was hideous but I loved its "bones".  I just knew it would make a great little box if it had a face lift.  Well today is its lucky day because I have some yummy Petaloo and Graphic 45's Olde Curiosity Shoppe to make it purdy!  LOL 

Aren't those flowers sweet?  The perfect touch to adorn my box of curiosities.  Don't ask me what kind of curiosties are in the box.....you know what they say about cats and curiosity.  'Nuff said.  :)

I used a Shabby Beige Darjeeling Daisy as my focal point and grouped Nightfall Darjeeling Dahlias and Canterbury Berry Picks in Black around it.

I also tucked in some Nightfall Mini Daisies and a Shabby Beige Butterfly. 

I turned the box on its side so you could see the inside.  I finished it off with a blue stain lining.  A girl needs to make sure her curiosities are kept safe. ;)

Spring is in the air....

Hello there.......Lynne here!

In New England, the weather has been ANYTHING but spring like....
but a girl can dream...RIGHT!

When I think of spring, it congures up the thought of birds returning,
plants poking through the ground and a new smell in the air.
When I saw the BEAUTIES newly released at CHA....it took me there!!


I pulled out a dollar store cheapie...which I must say was a tad hideous.
Using the BEAUTIFUL Graphic 45 Tropical Travelogue, I covered the birdhouse,
I then wrapped it with a lucious piece of ribbon.



Then it was.....bring on the PETALOO GOOODNESS!!

You're amazing!

Hi everybody! Helena here to share a couple of Petaloo-projects with you!

When I got Petaloo's new Darjeeling flowers in my hands the very first word that I thought were - amazing!! And then I thought that would be the perfect title for this page about my darling son, because he truly is one amazing boy.

The papers from Graphic 45, "Little Darlings", match the Petaloo, "Spring Darjeeling" ~  Pistachio colored flowers so well, don't you think?

A couple of close-ups of these beautiful flowers:

(I used the "Spring Darjeeling" Lg Daisies, Dahlias, Frosted Roses, Butterflies, Beaded Hat Pins, Mixed Foliage in dark Brown and Velvet Grape leaves to frame the photo)

When I was finished with my layout I decided to go all green *lol* and I decorated a Dusty Attic-frame with pics of myself and my dh and lots of Pistachio-green Petaloo flowers. (And I know you can't see this in the photo of me, but I actually have a Petaloo-flower in my hair - a red velvet and lace flower!)

More Spring Darjeeling

It's another darling card made with Petaloo's NEW Spring Darjeeling collection. 

Petaloo's Srping Darjeeling have been very popular this year.  I love that the line comes in many colors especially the natural kraft color flowers and leaves.

I also used Petaloo's  Beaded Hat Pins in beige.  The whole collection matches to a tee.  Don't you just love it?

I tied everyting together using Graphic 45's Little Darling collection and May Arts ribbons.

Pink everywhere

Little girls and pink go together very well. I loved creating this page with my daughter and her friend and all the pink goodness. 

The pink flowers are part of Petaloo's "Spring Darjeeling" flower Collection.  This color is called Hyacinth... Plus, it's easy to find paper to match these flowers!  Lots of companies have sweet, pink papers that coordinate perfectly!!

 
Love the new flowers and the sweet little images that go together so well. The Spring Darjeeling flowers come in so many sizes and perfectly coordinated colors, it is easy to mix them together and create a stunning border to frame your pictures!  A touch of butterflies to finish it. and ready is this tribute to friendship.

Take a look at the 3 dimensional images that Petaloo makes called the "Vintage Dazzler" Collection!!  They are lightly glittered and work beautifully with these flowers!  They come in 2x3 shapes, but I cut them to make them stand out on my layout! Pretty, huh? (Both the image with the dove and the image of the little girl are from the Vintage Dazzler ~ Floral package)

Petaloo New Spring Darjeeling Collection - Hyacinth

When I opened up my box of Petaloo goodness for this month, I'm in love!! The sweet and beautiful Hyacinth Color Theme of the new Spring Darjeeling Collection is so perfect with this season.

I've created a layout using the flowers, pins and vintage dazzlers and coordinated them with Bo Bunny's new Country Garden paper line. Ther are absolutely perfect for each other!!  Here are some close-ups on it.

Growing.....

Do you ever want to stop time?  I do!  My youngest son just turned 8 months old and I can't believe how fast the time has gone by and how much he has grown!  When I look at his newborn pictures he doesn't even seem like the same baby.  So that was my inspiration for this layout.  I thought it was also sort of a fun play on words to have his pictures surrounded by a garden of Petaloo flowers.  My little weed... Oh how sweet!

On my layout I used the brand new Petaloo Spring Darjeeling flower collection.  This particular color group is called Pistachio.  Yum!  I just happened to have these pictures already printed out that went with the pistachio color theme.  I had used a photo filter on them from The Pioneer Woman, called Soft and Faded, that gave my photographs this soft and old timey feel.  It was the perfect match for my papers and flowers.

Here are a couple closeup shots so that you can see how beautiful the texture is on these Petaloo flowers.  Each flower is hand dyed so that no two flowers are exactly alike.

In this picture you can see Large Daisies, Dahlias, and Mini Pearl Daisies. I just love how this Graphic 45 paper, Little Darlings Collection, goes with these flowers perfectly.  It's like they were made for each other.

Cards, Cards, Cards by Tanisha!

Cards...can we really ever make enough for all of the special occasions and holidays in a year? My solution is to make a card or 2 whenever I create a layout or altered project. Sometimes, I am inspired to throw caution to the wind and cut that big 12x12 piece of paper into a card.

This "Forever" card was inspired by a Christmas card that I created a few months ago. I thought it would make a great "everyday" card. I used Petaloo's gorgeous new Darjeeling Daisies X 4 as the centerpiece here. I use the mini pearl daisies to acentuate the embossed flourishes.

This card would be perfect for any Aniversary, Wedding or Friendship occassion, don't you think?!!


This birthday card came together in about 5 minutes thanks to the new Vintage Dazzlers! They are embellished, glittered and even have their own sentiments. All I had to do was create a base (which in this case is the packaging from the flowers...YAY upcycling) and add some ribbon and one of the Darjeeling butterflies and the card was done. 

How sweet and pretty!  What mother, sister or friend would not like to receive this easy and stunning card for their birthday?!
