 Hey there everyone, it's Tanisha here with a project that I created using Petaloo's Darjeeling collection and Graphic 45's Tropical Travelogue line.  The flowers and papers go together so beautifully and I though they'd look lovely as a hostess gift set. 

I pulled colors from the papers and then mixed and matched the flowers until it was pleasing to my eye.  Imagine showing up at a New Year's Eve party with a surprise for the hostess in this set!!

I even added a few berry picks from the Canterbury collection.

Today's card I'm using Petaloo's beautiful Darjeeling Petites and Darjeeling Mini Mix.

For my next card I used Petaloo's Darjeeling Hydrangeas and Graphic 45 Tropical Travelogue collection.  The Darjeeling Hydrangeas come in two different sizes and four different colors to choose from. 

Do you know that you can ink Petaloo's flowers with chalking ink?  I used white chalking ink to make my flowers pop off the card, what do you think?

Hi everybody! Helena here, sharing a couple of projects with beautiful Darjeeling flowers from Petaloo combined with fabulous papers from Graphic 45. Such an amazing match - the colors are perfect together!

First, a layout with a photo from my sisters wedding this fall. I used lots of Darjeeling flowers with colornames like Sienna and Eggplant (I love these colornames - they describe the colors in such a beautiful way!). The papers from Graphic 45, Tropical Travelogue Collection, go so well with these gorgeous flowers and I could easily use flowers with several colors.

A couple of close-ups:

I painted the flowers with a little bit of white acrylic paint, a nice effect against the patterned papers, especially the one with white dots.

My next project is a frame, approx size 6x6, that I covered with a paper with this amazing blue color. Of course, the Darjeeling flowers I chose to decorate the frame with are all blue (and a couple of black and white ones just to add "that little something").

Let's start off our "New Year's Inspiration" with Petaloo's DT member LISA VALENTINE....

Wow, wow, wow!  Those of you who know me, know that I love all things vintage.  These things have a story to tell if you listen.  WELL, Graphic 45 never disappoints when it comes to warm and vintage and pair that up with Darjeeling and it is a match made in heaven.

I decided to take a wooden book box and transform it into a Paradise Wish Box.  This can be used to hold vacation treasures or pictures of places you hope to go someday.  This is the book cover and I really love how rich the colors are.  Tell me those Darjeeling flowers aren't perfect!  The colors are soooo deep and yummy and perfectly sized to accent this project.

This is a picture of my niece and my DD.  It was taken in the Outer Banks of North Carolina in March of 2008.  Aren't they cute!  We had family from Florida meet us in the Outer Banks for a family vacation.  It was such a nice week for the kids.

I'm going on record right now and saying that I HAVE TO HAVE A TRUCK LOAD OF THOSE WHITE DARJEELING TEA STAINED LEAVES!!!! Aren't they gorgeous? 

I used Darjeeling Petites for accents.

Wishing eveyone a very Merry Christmas from Sweden...

I so love mini decorations. I just knew when I got the Flora Doodles mini florettes I had to create small stuff.

I started with making christmas tags. We will celebrate christmas with my brother and his

family and my parents. 

There will be a lot of gifts under the tree and the tags will come in handy apart from the fact that I had a blast making them. The mini flowers with the jeweled center are the

perfect final touch.

Not only on tags.. but also on this small label mini album I made for the kids. It's really very tiny and these flowers are just what the album needed.

Then I made some small boxes just big enough for a christmas chocolate.

I hope you enjoyed these mini ideas and that they are usefull as some quick last minute projects.

Dear Santa

This is such a magical time of year in so many ways.  For me, one of the best things about this time of year is watching my daughter.  She gets so excited and just can't contain herself; the jumping up and down, randomly belting out Chistmas songs (at some inappropriate times LOL), the squeeling, the screaming, the eyes bulging so widely I can't believe they stay in her head, and the genuine look of surprise and utter excitement.

There is a park about a mile from our house and during the winter they convert a back parking lot into an ice skating rink.  We like to go really early in the morning when we have the park to ourselves.  There is a creek the runs next to the rink and it is such a wonderful thing when everything is quiet and all you can hear are the blades against the ice and the water tumbling down the creek.   I took this picture about 4 years ago while we were ice skating.  It is one of my all time faves and I've scrapped it a few times.  Can you hear the song "All I want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth"?

I looooooooove the Candied Poinsettias!  They bring such a feeling of light to my projects. 

 

Look at that gorgeous Color Me Crazy Open Rose! I nestled it in among the Candied Poinsettias and a Canterbury Poinsettia and Berry Branch.  To me, this screams Christmas Bouquet.  Just beautiful.

Howdy, peeps.......Lynne here and yeah we finally have snow in New Hampshire. I was beginning to wonder if we would have a White Christmas AT ALL.

Now, that it's beginning to look more like Christmas.....I'm getting a bit more in the mood. Let me tell you....this year I'm all about making it simple!!

and what a BEAUTIFUL transformation!!!

Instead of the berries, I used
CANTERBURY VINE SPRAY ~ TEAL
