Color Me Crazy contest winners...

The Color Me Crazy contest was a huge success!  We had over a hundred entries and we want to thank everyone who made a card, a layout or an altered project with our "Color Me Crazy" embellishments!

First Place winners will receive $100.00 of Color Me Crazy product and a "Designer Fun Pack".  Second place winners & Honorable Mentions will receive a CMC "Designer Fun Pack"...

Each entry was wonderful and unique and we appreciate the time and effort put into these projects! The quality of these projects made it extremely difficult to choose winners...

Petaloo's CHA releases ~ New Chantilly Collection!

Upon leaving the CHA show yesterday we were saddened to hear about the tragedies going on in Norway.  The Petaloo family would like to send our sympathy and condolences to our friends and customers in Norway. Our hearts go out to you...

After a fun and busy week in Chicago at the CHA show, we want to give you a "peek" at our "best sellers" from the show...

One collection that our designers and customers loved at CHA was our "vintage velvet" flower collection for the holidays...the Chantilly Collection.

One of the most popular embellishments from this collection is this "Velvet Mini Blossom"  (shown in blue).  

It is the perfect little cluster of flowers for creating a frame of flowers around a picture or tying a piece of lace or ribbon around it and placing it on the front of a holiday card or layout.

It comes in 8 colors: cream, burgundy, red, purple, rose, pumpkin, blue and white with plenty of vintage green leaves to match!

This amazing layout by DT Member Lisa Valentine uses the new Chantilly Velvet Mini Blossoms (in blue) ... along with cream colored Mixed Blooms from the Chantilly Collection & cream colored Velvet and Lace flowers from the Chantilly Collection.  

Here is another new item from the new Chantilly Collection... Velvet Berry Picks.  (shown in blue, they also come in Christmas red & green, white, rose and burgundy)  This "Seasons Greetings" card (above) was also designed by DT member Lisa Valentine. 

This adorable layout by DT member Lynn Kopas combines both the new Chantilly Velvet Mini Blossoms and the Chantilly Velvet Berry Picks  (in rose and burgundy).

The "Chantilly Collection" of vintage velvet embellishments will be available at the end of August.

Sneek Peek ~ Mini Darjeeling flowers!

Hello again...are you ready for another SNEEK PEEK of our new Fall and Holiday tea-stained flowers?

These beauties are another creation from the new Mini Darjeeling Collection.  These Darjeeling flowers are made of RECYCLED COTTON  (actually, they're made from recycled cotton teeshirts!!)  

These flowers are called Darjeeling Petites.  They come in a pack of 24 mixed colors. They are cute little flowers that measure only 3/4 of an inch! They are available in 3 color palettes: burg/cream/green or cream/green or blue/purple/brown (shown).  Each package has 24 flowers and leaves and will sell for only $4.50 retail.  

This "Welcome Fall" tag was made with the new Darjeeling Petites in the cream/green color pallette. They are mixed with another new Darjeeling embellsihment called the Darjeeling Mini Mix.

  

The Darjeeling Mini Mix comes in a package of 8 sweet little flowers that are all different & unique! They come in 3 color pallettes: black/cream/brown (shown) or blue/purple/grn or burg/cream/green.  (These Mini's come in a mix of 1 inch to 1 1/2 inch sizes)

Sneek Peek ~ Petaloo's new Mini Darjeeling line!

Summer is here, so that means fall and the holidays are on the way...here are a few of the new embellishments we have coming in late August and early September!  Enjoy ....

This first of our five new collections for fall is from our Darjeeling Collection of tea stained flowers.  The Darjeeling flowers are made of RECYCLED COTTON  (actually, they're made from recycled cotton teeshirts)  They come in new small & mini sizes!

These cute little flowers are new Darjeeling Med X 6.  They are the perfect flower embellishment for those muted, vintage papers!  They will be available in vintage black & ivory, burgundy, ivory & green (shown), and purple, green & blue.  Plus, they are reasonably priced at $4.99 for a package of six!

This "Beautiful Blessings" card is made by DT member Tanisha Long.  She shows how well these tea stained flowers complement vintage papers.  In addition, Tanisha has added a little glitter to the flower to give it a dreamy feel. 

This is the new Darjeeling Hydrangea Mix .  It comes with 24 blooms and leaves in a package!  They will be available in vintage black & ivory (shown), burgundy & green, and purple & blue.  These pretty little blooms are made from the same RECYCLED COTTON paper & will retail for $4.99 per package!

NEW Color Me Crazy!

With over 20 years experience in floral and craft products, it's no secret that Petaloo is the industry leader in innovative and unique floral embellishments. Their NEW Color Me Crazy Collection is no exception. I ADORE these mini blank canvases on which to create! Each flower comes 'bare' and ready for you to transform with markers, inks, mists, paint and so much more.


The layout I created displays the beautiful new flowers from the Color Me Crazy Collection. Each package was filled with the most elegant and dainty flowers - to leave as is or to cut and arrange as desired, which I've done here.


The Beaded Berries were one of my favourites! Originally white, like all of the Color Me Crazy blooms, I coloured with some Fabric Spray Paint by Tulip. The colour was initially a little too punchy for the subtle tones in the papers so I simply wiped the access paint off and was left with the softest of pink hues.

 
 
The Color Me Crazy Collection not only offers the most beautiful flowers and sprays but also alphas and numbers!



Here I altered my numbers with Scribbles 3D paint and then finished with some distress ink around the edges for a more 'worn' look.

Just the Right Color Petaloo Flowers

Do you ever wish that you had just the right color of flower or petal to embellish your scrapbook layout?  Well with the Color Me Crazy flowers from Petaloo you can have just that. These flowers can be altered with all kinds of media.  Paint, markers, chalk, ink and mists just to name a few.

On this layout I used many of these different types of media to color the plain white Color Me Crazy flowers. On the largest flower I used ink to apply some sparse color to give it a painterly effect.  The blue flowers were spritzed with Glimmer Mist and the red flowers were colored with Copic markers.  I also used a black Copic Multiliner to draw doodle lines on the leaves and flowers.

As you can see personalizing these Petaloo Color Me Crazy flowers is easy and fun and will give just the right embellishment for any layout.

Celebrate July 4th with CMC flowers!!

Happy 4th of July from Petaloo!!

In honor of America's holiday, we have a wonderful layout from our DT member, Lori Gentile! 

 

Lori has used our "Color Me Crazy" Jeweled Gypsies in her fun and patriotic layout of her two boys!  Although these CMC flowers can be dyed, inked, sprayed, and colored... Lori has chosen to keep them their natural white!  (a cool fact about these flowers: they are made from 100% recycled cotton teeshirts!)  Keeping the flowers white makes the colored paper and stickers really stand out, don't you think?!! 

 

These CMC Gypsies come with all white crystal centers but you can also get them with multi colored crystal centers too...
