Hi, my name is Christine and I am thrilled to be introducing myself as a design team member for Petaloo. I love working with Petaloo's products and I can't wait to show you what I can do with my Petaloo.
I am a mother of two beautiful children and the wife to an adoring and supportive husband. My family has always enjoyed my scrapbooking hobby and loves to be the star of the "project".
I have been scrapbooking for about 14 years and remember the first time I went to a crop. It was as if a whole new world opened up for me. I had always enjoyed photography, but this new hobby allowed me to create something from my pictures and also give them a voice. I know now that there are so many stories in our pictures that would never be told without scrapbooking.
Well, as everyone knows, this hobby called scrapbooking can really lead you into other paper crafts and it wasn't long before I was learning how to stamp and make cards and alter home decor.
I love the paper crafting business. It is a wonderful beautiful community filled with the loveliest people. We care about each other, we encourage each other and we share a passion like no other and I am so glad to be a part of it.
So today I would like to share a card and a layout. My first project is a card. I love coloring stamped images with my Copic markers and using them to make cards. For this card I used Petaloo's Glitter paper and Glitter leaves to give it an extra bit of sparkle. I cut mats for the layers out of the orange and brown glitter paper and then I used my Tim Holtz border die to cut the scalloped edge that you see under the Martha Stewart leaf border punch. I think that the leaf cutouts really stand out on top of Petaloo's brown glitter paper.
The other Petaloo product on this card is the precut glitter and foam leaves. Now this product was truly the icing on the cake for this card. The perfect colors and variety in sizes in the package made using them as embellishments a breeze. The leaves are self adhesive so they go on very easy. I layered them just like I might layer flowers as accents on my card.

The second project I would like to share is a altered picture frame. I love using my Petaloo flowers, along with paint, ink, and paper on plain frames to make them fun and unique.
I first covered my plain frame with Tim Holtz tissue tape. Then I distressed it with some white paint and brown ink. I cut out my house and put it together. You might notice the fence in front of the house is a little sparkly. Yep, you guessed it. More of the Petaloo glitter paper. I cut out the fence from glitter paper using my Silhouette. The last embellishment was the garden that I created from the Petaloo flowers. These flowers are from the new Chantilly collection. I just stuck a couple of Glue Dots on the back of the flowers and placed them growing up the edge of the fence and house.
